I've seen the blonde Shep and quite frankly she just looks so much better than the original model.

I've always had a bee in my bonnet about how boring Shep was facially; she looks like every other Shep I've ever seen (because the editing options were so rubbish). It's also great to see that they are tweaking the design and finally acknowledging that you don't have to be the size of a small house to be badass; that being more feminine is okay.

I'm petite and I'm blonde, so in my game I don't want to look like a bloke.

That you had your reasons not to like Jane Shepard. It though she was good.

As I have my reasons not to like this version so much.

And thinking you do not aim, but I find hypocritical and stupid to accuse me of not liking one version for some personnal reasons, when you asked to change the other Jane.

Obviously everyone's expectations, not necessarily the same. So do not come to lecture on it. because it is frankly ridiculous.

Lolwut? Where did I 'lecture' ?

I do believe I just stated my opinion on the original FemShep and the current blonde model they are offering. My post had absolutely nothing to do with you.

She came on to give her subjective opinion like anyone else.  Essentially telling her to shut up and not share that is frankly ridiculous.

Some people really need to get a life. The default look of a character that you can change to your own preferences really bothers you? Jesus...

Hahaha.

It's really stupid what you say. Because it means that all those who have asked to change the default female Shepard should not have to complain if they have their own opportunity to create a character.

And I'd like to play with the default shepard worked better if possible. So ?

If bioware has made so much effort  to satisfy a desire (  bsn ) that is not stupid as you think.

And I do not see the reason for so absurd opposition, from the moment I propose an alternative. an alternative that you are not obliged to join .......

Okay, so what you're saying is that you want the in-game female Shepard preset to not be blonde.  You are saying this because the preset Shepard is going to be more finely rendered than any custom Shepard could be, as in ME1 or ME2.  So it's not fair for the most finely rendered female Shepard to be blonde, then.  This is what you're saying?

Perhaps the opposition wouldn't seem so absurd if you actually spelled out what you wanted before someone had to take you to task on it.

For the record, I don't care if the default female Shepard is blonde or not.  I suppose my ideal choice would be to include all of the proposed options as presets.  If this is unrealistic for whatever reason, fine, so long as the (admittedly rudimentary) face creator remains in the game.

I don't know what you're not getting Lazuli.

He explained himself completely clearly, and you seem to be just trying to confuse people - possibly because you didn't bother to read what he actually typed.

Let me clear it up for you:

He is asking that if they pick option 5 as the default Shepard, that it be possible to use option 5's face and hair-shape, but change the colour. I don't know if you've actually played ME1/2 - if not it explains why you "don't get it". If you pick default ManShep, you can't change anything about it at all. It's all or nothing. As he has almost no hair, the hair colour obviously isn't a big issue.

However, FemShep will have lot of hair (it seems) and the OP clearly likes the face, and likes the haircut, but would like the hair colour to be change-able. He has correctly asserted that if it isn't, come day one this board will be filled with people ask why, when they go just want to change FemShep's hair, they in fact have to change her entire face. Which will be very boring.

Then as I have explained, we'll see people modding and hacking the game to get the hair colour they want with the face they want, and that'll lead to a lot of unnecessary bug reports and "why wont it work?!?!"-type posts in the Tech Support forum and wasted time for BioWare.

Your take-away here is that the OP likes option 5's face/hair, just not the hair-colour. It's likely to be trivial for BioWare to allow the hair-colour to be changed.

What the OP is NOT asking for is that the trailers/box/anything else have different hair colours. Why are you finding this so hard?

Oh dude stfu. Who gives nug's left nut if default Femshep is blonde, ffs. You can change it.

Complain about something that is actually a viable issue.

Are you illiterate? His post is about how he wants you to be able to change it and keep the default face? Seriously dude, did you even read it?

As long as Shep 4 doesn't get choosen, I'm happy. But Shepard 5 with darker/red hair is my favourite.

EDIT: ...By the way people, this isn't just for an ingame default. This will be, the Shepard. The Canon Female Shepard. The one they were talking about to use in all her design work, art and advertisments. You can't just flick a slider over during an ME3 advert to make her blonde hair brown. Posted Image

Thank you. I stopped to answer him. Yet it was very clear to someone able to understand. Maybe he will understand better with your words.

You know what kick ass heroine was blonde? Samus Aran. You know who voiced her in the Metroid Prime Series? Jenifer Hale. You know what I want? Samus Shepard on the cover.

I just don't like the fact she looks more like she should be on stage in a bikini singing Single Ladies rather than saving the frickin' galaxy from Reapers. Posted Image

I do too, but I still want her to look badass in armor and feel like she could take on the repears like default male Shepard could.

Also, I approve of the idea for Samus as default Fem!Shep, where's that on the poll?

We must rally the votes! Make 27 groups, no more and no less, for this cause. 289 different signatures for all who follow and secretely make a female BsN aaccount asking for Maleshep in boxers.

It wasn't racist before, but it is now, because you just said that Shep 4 looks like Beyonce (so one count of racism - as she doesn't, at all - she looks a tiny bit like a couple of '90s R&B stars, but not Beyonce even slightly), and that Beyonce wears "a bikini" (racism count number 2, as she doesn't).

So yeah racist. As I expect are lot of the people saying "anything but number 4" (though not those who are saying "hipster hair" - yeah that is pretty hipster and silly).

Do a poll for the third mass effect episode. Shepard in a bikini. The majority is the majority. No right to request an option for a femshep in armor.

Shepard bikini replace the old shepard.

Most reasonable people have no problem with others requesting certain features in the game. I don't play femShep, but I'm glad that femShep fans get their own trailer and render like manShep.

The thing that annoys me and others is people taking their requests too far. We see people demanding features that fit a very narrow and specific definition. They have created their pre-conceived notions and don't want any compromise or change to it, going so far as to prohibit the features that others may want because it doesn't fit their personal mold. And most of the time it isn't even over an important feature, but something rather trivial.

This is just ridiculous and makes it very difficult to support. You want the default femShep to have "x" colored hair? Good for you. You want to go on a tirade against other hair colors because it isn't how you envisioned femShep? Now that is just ridiculous.

Did you read what you wrote? I've highlighted the bits where you do reproach me because, out of thin air, you assumed I was attacking your reasons for liking default Shep.
