It wasn't racist before, but it is now, because you just said that Shep 4 looks like Beyonce (so one count of racism - as she doesn't, at all - she looks a tiny bit like a couple of '90s R&B stars, but not Beyonce even slightly), and that Beyonce wears "a bikini" (racism count number 2, as she doesn't).

So yeah racist. As I expect are lot of the people saying "anything but number 4" (though not those who are saying "hipster hair" - yeah that is pretty hipster and silly).

...I wasn't aware that that is what classified as racism nowadays, but, okay, whatever, sorry then. ._.

I still don't approve of the way she looks, I can't take her seriously with the hair and make up.

Some people really need to get a life. The default look of a character that you can change to your own preferences really bothers you? Jesus...

Hahaha.

It's really stupid what you say. Because it means that all those who have asked to change the default female Shepard should not have to complain if they have their own opportunity to create a character.

And I'd like to play with the default shepard worked better if possible. So ?

If bioware has made so much effort  to satisfy a desire (  bsn ) that is not stupid as you think.

Yes it means exactly that. Moaning over a default character that can be changed is utterly pointless. If you don't like her then change her, if you don't want to change her then thats your problem deal with it.

As usual, people quickly shout 'racism!' when, in fact, it's just a personal dislike of the hair and makeup.

Ridiculous.

Frankly, I don't care what color hair Femshep has, as long as she has the same face/hairdo as option #5.

Most reasonable people have no problem with others requesting certain features in the game. I don't play femShep, but I'm glad that femShep fans get their own trailer and render like manShep.

The thing that annoys me and others is people taking their requests too far. We see people demanding features that fit a very narrow and specific definition. They have created their pre-conceived notions and don't want any compromise or change to it, going so far as to prohibit the features that others may want because it doesn't fit their personal mold. And most of the time it isn't even over an important feature, but something rather trivial.

This is just ridiculous and makes it very difficult to support. You want the default femShep to have "x" colored hair? Good for you. You want to go on a tirade against other hair colors because it isn't how you envisioned femShep? Now that is just ridiculous.

What is ridiculous is your reaction. What is ridiculous is the exagerration you're doing of a proposal covered by a simply feeling of discontent.

Bioware isn't required to meet this expectation, and if he doesn't, I will not cry. I see something that bothers me, I speak and I try to promote something else, because I wish I could play the default female Shepard.

And as I think others might be happy to have these options, I made the proposal. But I think it would be nice, since they give the possibility to change shepard, allow a few options.

Did you read what you wrote? I've highlighted the bits where you do reproach me because, out of thin air, you assumed I was attacking your reasons for liking default Shep.

or for not liking this one. I just think he has a problem with bonds. Maybe traumatized childhood, mother-trauma or ex-girlfriend issues.

I'm just going to ignore how everyone is overreacting and move on then. Has anyone announced when the results of which of the designs will be canon fem!Shep? I can't find a date anywhere.

I've seen the blonde Shep and quite frankly she just looks so much better than the original model.

I've always had a bee in my bonnet about how boring Shep was facially; she looks like every other Shep I've ever seen (because the editing options were so rubbish). It's also great to see that they are tweaking the design and finally acknowledging that you don't have to be the size of a small house to be badass; that being more feminine is okay.

I'm petite and I'm blonde, so in my game I don't want to look like a bloke.

That you had your reasons not to like Jane Shepard. It though she was good.

As I have my reasons not to like this version so much.

And thinking you do not aim, but I find hypocritical and stupid to accuse me of not liking one version for some personnal reasons, when you asked to change the other Jane.

Obviously everyone's expectations, not necessarily the same. So do not come to lecture on it. because it is frankly ridiculous.

Well, what are you talking about?  See those bits I've underlined and highlighted?  She wasn't accusing you of anything, she wasn't lecturing you and she wasn't talking about your preferences.  She wasn't even talking to you. She was literally just giving her own opinion on the blonde Femshep.  You completely and utterly misunderstood her post and took it in a very bizarre way.

Asking for a change or a specific option is fine. Going so far to prohibit others from having their options is not.

I'm not a Tali fan, but I'm glad that they made her a possible love interest in ME2 so people can have the option to romance her. Now if someone wanted to make Tali the one and only love interest prohibiting others from having their option to persue different romances, then that would be ridiculous.

What the hell is wrong with you? Its racist because he/she thinks she looks like another woman and you think she doesn't? Its racist because Beyonce doesn't wear a bikini? I've seen her in bikini's. Pull your head out of your arse its not automatically racist because it involves a black person.  Next it will be racist not to like Beyonce's music if you keep going the way you are. For the record I think number 4 is too done up like a singer too with that hair, call me racist if you want but that hair would be a nightmare in a helmet.

Seconded. And I'd like to know that too, even though it's almost certain that the blonde will win. Yesterday, only in the first hour of liking, she had more than 4000 votes. I guess they'll leave it be for about a week.

I don't need an apology; you're best to apologise to her.  I can see that your English is rough - so I can understand that it's difficult - but it does mean you should probably be VERY CAREFUL to understand what you're reading before replying rather than being too quick to deride someone.

But where do you see that I forbid something? I simply said, if the blonde is chosen, it would be hard for me, and it would be cool to have the opportunity to have toggle for those for whom it is difficult. An alternative. Why is it so hard to understand ? Just why...

I like long walks on the beach and playing Mass Effect--- wait, you meant...?  Oops.

There's no close date listed on the official page... so I suspect it will just keep going until they're literally putting the trailer together.

So no, actually I have understood.

You think I blamed the person I quoted right ?
NO . She wasn't the person I was aiming. Only theses sentences was for her.

That you had your reasons not to like Jane Shepard. It though she was good.

As I have my reasons not to like this version so much.

The rest was something general that did not concern her. I said that it wasn't for her I said that for some others. Like me, she had an opinion. And that's why I quoted her. read the sentences above.

That's why I quoted. It is those who reproached myself for having an opinion that I said that.

I have nothing to apologize at all.

As someone who has grown up with racism myself, I have to agree.  Eurhetemec, you are far too eager to see racism where there isn't any.
