It is times like these that I wouldn't want to be working at Bioware on ME3 for all the money in the world.  They could've easily just picked their chosen version of FemShep, put her on the trailer and the CE box, and would've suffered the wrath of FemShep fans everywhere for not only choosing the one they did, but also not giving the fans the option to vote for the one they want the most.  So, they give the fans the chance to vote for one of five possible options, and what happens?  More raging over the fact that the blond option is getting the majority vote (or that there was even a blond option in the first place) and an astounding amount of pointless bickering.  It's "damned if you do, damned if you don't" to the laughably extreme.

What boggles my mind the most is the fact that people are shaking their fists in frustration and arguing bitterly over a character that the vast majority of players CUSTOMIZE TO MAKE THEIR OWN.  I'm sure there are quite a few who use the default male and female versions of Shepard because they either like the character designs or just don't care to fool around with customization.  But I'm more convinced that people prefer to customize their Shepard to be the hero they envision him or her to be.  So, with that in mind, why in the name of all that is holy do you care what image Bioware picks from the majority vote for the female version of Shepard?!?  It's not YOUR Shepard, after all!  Use a little cognitive dissonance and dismiss the image as someone else's version of Shepard, and move on!

Good frakking lord...even the subject line of this thread... "do not force us to see"...ugh, IT'S BEING PUT TO A VOTE!!!  No one's forcing anyone!  You're being given a choice!  If the majority vote is blond, you get blond.  Don't like it?  Don't show it support by voting for it, but don't dare have the arrogance to deride someone for their choice when you know damn well you'd demand a chance to choose for yourself if you didn't have it by default.

God, how I wish there's more people thinking like this. it doesn't really matter how she will look on the cover or the promotional videos, because I know when i get the game I'll be able to customize her as well I'm pleased. I don't get why a hair colour is such a issue.

- snip - because I agree with everything

I absolutely agree.

Asking for / proposing new features that broadens customization per se, is not a bad thing. To the contrary, as developers have said many times, it is welcomed.

The problems may start, when it is done in a inappropriate way. And I am affraid, this might be the case here. Things that leads me to believe so are:

1.The timing of thread - the voting has not even finished yet, and here we already see a lot of posts claiming, demanding or complaining about something. Even if the re****s might be obvious, it's impolite to jump to preliminary conclusions and bother developers just few moments after they gave us a chance to influence something. Besides, we don't know how the things will play out.

2. The name of the thread - as you have nicely pointed out, using the words "do not force us" in a situation in which we are not only allowed to customize our main character, but now are also allowed to influence the looks of the default one, is very ungrateful.

3. The manner in which OP replies to some disagreeing posts - It's unfotunate if OP, i.e. a person that wants to achieve something and needs to get a lot of sympathy from other posters to join his / her cause, tries to respond in such manner. I know, sometimes it's hard when peolpe start to immediately condemn the thread (the first 2 points play a big role in this) because of misunderstanding, repetitivenes or for whatever other reason but usually if OP endures and proceeds in polite and calm manner, he / she will get a lot of support eventually.

Now that I finished my blabering about my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the form of this thread, I can proceed to actual content and my answer is:

Yes, why not, I would support any feature that improves the customization. And, it may / should be used for male version as well.

If that's what people vote for then majority rules. Just because you don't want a blonde shep doesn't mean it shouldn't be. I personally voted for I think 4 but they all look nice.

also, I don't recall many blonde game characters, disregarding Samus and Ninja Gaiden's characters.

and because my opinion is subjective, I proposed to add options, not to ban it, if possible. It's was a proposal. Again, I do not see the problem. Tell me, what motivates you as to overreact to something that is simply an alternative application ask.

If Bioware believes he can do, he does it. If it doesn''t want ou can't, it does not. It's simply. I do not know why you complain.
