That may be true but Icewind Dale 2 uses the Bioware Infinity Engine like the BG 2 game. That is why it can play the BG 2 files in Icewind Gate 2. It is also Black Isle like BG 2.
Ironworks Forum has a sleepy forum for IWD and IWD 2.

I was thinking of starting an IWD challenge thread somewhere after my current BG run - maybe the off-topic forum here is a better choice than the IWD boards, which are, as you say, "sleepy".

I don't think they are going to allow any discussion of IWD on the BG boards. I think their reasoning is that this a specifically Bioware-sponsored forum. Apparently, Bioware made no profit and had no control over the release of IWD other than the selling of Infinity Engine rights.

And The Witcher uses the same engine (heavily modified) as NWN, but it doesn't mean that there's a board here for it. Sorry, but using the same engine doesn't mean that it's appropriate for the forum.
