Hello all.

Just had this error message when attempting to install from disk

"Error: Switch from current encoding to specified encoding not supported.
Line 1 column 40 in inter XML settings"

This is when I run the autorun. When I double click setup.exe I get up to "express install/custom install" I choose custom install click next and it crashes.

I'm on windows 7 64 bit.

Ive tried copying the disk contents to my hdd and running it from there but the exact same thing happens.

Anyone got a solution?

If I download it with Origin, might that work?

Thing is my download speeds are not the best so I would like to have a go at fixing it...if I can get some suggestions as to things I could try.

Please see the "Read First" post pinned to the top. Without more information, it is difficult to offer any assistance. There is a known issue with some newer DVD drives reading the discs, but it usually fails out midway through install.
