On my first play through I wound up recruting Jack only to have a scene start as soon as we got back on the ship where I had to choose between her or Miranda. I picked Miranda and Jack hated for the rest of the game. My skills weren't high enough to choose the renegade or paragon options.

On this play through, I'm wondering which approach would be better; A) recruit all, then do all loyalty missions -or- B) recruit character, do characters loyalty mission, move on to the next.. opinions?

The paragon/renegade options are based off the number of points you have versus the number of points you might of gotten to that point in the game. When you go to a new area, the game adds all the points you might receive in the new area to your might of gotten points. So the more areas you visit the more might of gotten points you will have and if you don't finish every quest in the area then the less points you will actually have. So the more areas you visit means harder persuade checks, and thus waiting to do the checks to later in the game usually means you have a harder time passing them.

That is a meta-gaming explanation to your question, now to my opinion, play it like you enjoy.

On my first play through, I approached things a little more haphazardly. Once I completed the stories I saw a lot of mistakes I made. The approach I am using is to recruit all then do all loyalties. I wound up saving everyone on my first play through (minus Jack, of course). Didn't have a choice though. Just hoping to avoid a repeat of that scenario. Good info, supersport.. thnks!

I had same problem by doing the jack loyalty mission to early in the game and never got the paragon option that was my first play through. on second and 3rd play throughs I waited till I had full bar on parragon and got the persuade option both times. So I suggest only doing the miranda or the jack missions till you maxed out your paragon bar.

Im not sure the marranda jack fight trigers though is it from just doing the jack mission or is it if you get loyalty from both marranda and jack?

The Jack Miranda fight is triggered after you do the second of their two loyalty missions.

If you’re concerned about the Jack/Miranda fight you can get the paragon/renegade option if you do both their LMs right after Horizon provided you're picking primarily paragon or renegade conversion options/interupts and you're finishing all the city assignments on Omega, The Citadel and Illium.

But like mcsupersport said play it how you most enjoy it.
