I'm going to say that the most likely traitors will probably be:

Zaeed - you just know he'll stab you in the back. I actually hope he does, I never liked him and I'd love the opportunity to take him down.
Jack - Jack is damaged goods who only cares about herself, lets be honest.
Legion - he is still a Geth, afterall...
Kasumi - I'm hoping not, but Kasumi is thief, and thieves are selfish.
Miranda - there is alot of good in Miranda, but she was in Cerberus and can have alterior motives.
Grunt - hes too unpredictable.

Or it could be someone we would never suspect, like Joker or even Tali.

Don't be surprised when Ashley attempts to put a bullet in your head for treason if you don't fully support all things Alliance. She's already sporty about Horizon.

Legion or Tali - I think that they are a mutually exclusive choice. Because the war with the geth and all. I'll probably side with Legion, though. Nobody's gonna miss a few thousand quarians and most of the galaxy hates them anyway

I gotta say, I'm quite worried about Jack, I did romance her, paragon way, although I am a ranegade.
And I did save the Reaper base for Cerberus, she was kind of pissed about that.

As for the rest, I'm not all that worried, I know I got Wrex on my side, really doubt he will turn on me.As well as Mordin and Liara and Thane... Don't really care thst much about the rest.

Samara will likely turn on me though.. She might forgive me for helping her with Morinth though.

Species:

Quarian vs Geth....Shep is forced to take a side....the unchosen side turns on him.

Krogan vs Turian or Rachni....Same as above.

If there are choices like you can either aid Palevan or Kajhe:

Choose Kajhe...Garrus turns on Shep

Choose Palevan...Thane turns on Shep

Turn on Paragon:

Grunt...Paragons a wuss in Grunts view.

Miranda....May feel ends justify the means.

Tali...Never gotten over being exiled....blames Shep.

Ash....Moral issues.

Kaidan....Same as Jacob.

Neutrals:

Mordin, Kasumi, Legion, Wrex and Garrus....they would need another motivation other than Sheps alignment.

Very good assumptions. I agree with the Neutrals in a way. Legion could be a huge mystery though. I think that of most: Kasumi, Liara & Garrus would be the most trustworthy.
Tali is someone i love and respect, but the way she acts when you dont choose her side in the argument against Legion....i dont know - but that could very well be foreshadwoing something

Jack seems to be the one to turn on Shepard. Only time will tell.

I'd have absolutely no problem killing Tali, I seem to be the only one annoyed by her :S

 Unless you make a seriously big move that completely effs everything a person stands for I can't see, in general most of Shep's friends or crew turning on him.

• Samara may find some reason within her code to have to kill Shepard.
• Zaeed, while I like him is just the sort of guy to turn on you for credits.
• Jack maaaaybe, but probably not if you romanced her.
• Miranda I've never really trusted all that much, but even she's a long shot I think.
• Tali could flip out depending on you deal with the Geth crap.
• Legion could find a logical reason he has to destroy you...depending on how you deal with the Quarian crap.
• Ash or Kaidan could flip on you if you take a decidedly **** path in some way, but I doubt it. They've already pissed people off enough with their ME2 treatment of these characters.

If there is a betral it would have to be either the VS or Liara because those are the only two that are assured to be in the game.

I dont think anyone will betray Shepard, but there is something sinister about the way Garrus says ''What would you do if someone betrayed you?'' Although like I said, I doubt anyone will betray Shepard.

Casey Hudson alluded to maybe having to make a choice that would make some former ally not a friend anymore, maybe even with lethal consequences.  He was vague.  He could also mean non-squadmates entirely.  Don't forget there's a lot of non-playable recurring people in the game.

I wonder if it will be as easy as passing a persuasion check, or doing a companion mission (ex. Wrex) or if it will be heavy, depending on Shepard's alignment.

I'm particularly interested in seeing what happens if Shepard has the option of siding with the Reapers, similar to replacing Master Li in Jade Empire. Will the LI follow Shep to the ends of the galaxy? Will a Shepard succumbing to the Reapers indoctrination be an option, and cause the inevitable to happen? If we get this choice, it wil be interesting to see how influential Shepard truly is.

Eh, it'll probably just be a repeat of Virmire and those squad arguments that you deal with in ME2. I'll just stick to the safe side and get my Charm/Paragon all the way up! -crosses fingers-

Maybe I'm not reading this thread right. What I get from the initial post is that there will be prices to pay if you go max Renegade or max Paragon. Which I support. Whence all this talk of "Who is the Betrayer?"

Joker. I don't trust him. He would have done pretty much anything to become a pilot again after having been grounded.

I don't trust Jack either. I think that it was pretty much hinted in her dossier in Lotsb that she was planning an escape. But she won't betray you for Cerberus, though. 


I guess it could be pretty much any teammember if they're not loyal or you don't pass a renegade/paragon check, or your alignment (paragon/renegade) contrasts too much with theirs.

I don't think anyone would betray Shepard but instead there's moment more like Shepard could "betray" someone what would lead to conflict, like some choice between the geth and the quarians.

Anyone betraying for the luls would be stupid cause reapers will kill them anyway if they don't actually help Shepard to stop them.

The reapers are IN the galaxy killing people and are now a REAL threat to everyone. And you think it's smart to betray the one of the most dangerous if not the most dangerous being in the galaxy.

hmmm going down the list
I dont see thane, Jacob, joker, kasumi, chakwas or garrus betraying me at any time
Tali and Legion may come into conflict, and one might betray me (for my canon tali would as i support peace with geth not war)
zaeed and grunt are the wildcards for me
i think mordin could be a possibility with the genophage, like a salarian or krogan army assist
i would add Liara, Jack, and Miranda to the wildcard bunch but i think since they could be romanced you can convince them to support you
Samara will most likely betray renegade shepard as Morinth will most likely betray paragon shepard
Kaidan and Ashley are probably loyal to the alliance so im sure either could betray you if not romanced, hell even if romanced considering they acted like you went from saving a cat stuck in a tree to lighting it on fire on horizon
dont know enough about the new guy so cant comment but would assume his situation is similar, if not more possible then the kaidan/ashley scenario

i hope someone betrays me, cause so far everyone minus the Virmire incident survived in my game, and since this is the finale i aim to kill off some characters, ill even do a run where i try to make thane the only survivor just for the irony and lolz
