However, if they're gonna go for more of a "sexy" approach in ME3, I wish they'd take a look at the scenes in The Witcher 2 to see how it's done - even the scenes with random prostitutes are sexier than anything spawned from ME.

You can't do Nekkers on TW2.

Also its sex scenes were quite good, you can argue it's too much, others can argue it's just enough but either way it's way better than anything Bioware's ever done (apart from ME1, which is a close second), a mix between ME1's style and TW2 execution would be best in my opinion but that's just me.

See enough but not too much, makes the imagination work out the details.

I have not read this whole thread, but I will be shocked if anyone prefers ME2 horrid romance scenes vs ME1.

They, BioWare, needs to stop caring what Fox News thinks and do it right this time. Side boobs are okay, I'd rather see side boob than dry humping with clothes on.

I really don't understand the appreciation for that Witcher sex scene.

As others have said though, I think a blend of ME1 and ME2 would be preferable.

ME2, I like the way the relationships developed more and even though I didn't get a kiss or a full on sex-scene (I romanced Garrus) I still felt it was complete and was satisfied with it since the dialogue was so good!

Romance options having more of an impact to the direct storyline or just working more into the plot rather then being its own stand alone thing would be cool. Like if you romance Garrus, there is more reference to it like with the whole Liara thing in the Shadow Broker DLC. I'd rather just have more dialogue time to learn more about the characters then a sex scene.

ME1 but with ME2 dialogue. Seriously, Kaiden and Femshep sound like a bad soap opera before Illos. Garrus' romance was refreshingly more like an actual relationship, awkward, funny and yet touching. Only complaint was that the serious part was SO SHORT.
No, I don't want anything explicit. I'd be happy with a scene with them just holding each other lasting longer than the awkward phase.

How would people feel if they returned to ME1's style of revealing a bit more but kept the animations the same for each romance? I think I'd prefer variety over a little more skin, but I'm setting up a false dichotomy.

The Witcher (I've only played the 1st) had adult/tastefully done scenes. I bought the "uncensored" (or European edition) and could not understand the need for any censorship.

Americans are so oddly prudish about nudity and the natural act of sex. Yet we have no problems with hacking off peoples heads, and shooting them execution style?

Most of the LI scenes in the witcher- not the trysts- were great. My 14 year old son could play the game and I wouldn't have a problem with it. I don't want porn, but a bit of maturity would be a pleasant surprise.

While ME1's scenes were much more satisfying, they copied and pasted the same animations for everybody with the addition of the mind-meldy bit for Liara.

If they could keep it tastefully intimate like that, but render individual scenes like they did for ME2, color me a happy Cheez.
