And the thought of so many young people losing their lives, just for being in the wrong place in the wrong time is just too sad! I have friends in Oslo that is devastated right now. I hope Anders gets put in jail for good (and I will probably never forgive DA-anders again either).
Edit: Don't mind the article in Swedish. It doesn't say anything you probably don't already know.

His reasons make no sense at all. His manifesto is...just...eugh -- though it doesn't get as low as his nonsensical video.

My condolences to the family and friends of those who were brutally murdered in Oslo. Events like this really put into perspective the finality of death and how close it lingers in our everyday life in this world we live in.

stewie1974, in his manifesto, he states -- in great detail -- how video games and especially MMOs are a way of excusing isolation from public when family or friends ask. I doubt he played many except CoD.

May the victims rest in peace and my condolences to their families. May God watch over them all. Why does the Norwegian justice system limits a prison sentence to 21 years? I hope it sees some modifications after this. Still, I fear he is a symptom of a greater problem. Hopefully things won't get any worse.
Well considering he's going to explain why what he did was necessary, I'd say it's likely schizophrenia.

One thing tho amazes is the police reaction time, no helicopters and hour and a half later after the shooting started they finally got a damn boat and half way there theyre engine stops working so they had to almost swim there.
I guess noone ever thought that this situation could occur.

No he wasn’t Schizophrenic, nor has a history pointing towards such. He had a lot of friends and followers, created a 1.5k page Manifesto (2083) on his beliefs & conclusions for the decline in western culture, everything in his preparations for this attack was calculated. He even went out of his way to show he comes from a balanced background, & despite the information made available on his actions in depth since the attack fits nearly none of the usual stereotypes associated with terrorists. Mentally deranged, but not Schizo.
RIP to the victims they really stood little chance, a terrible way for many young people to lose their lives & many families to lose loved ones.

Updated at 11:25: Police lowered the death toll in the island shooting spree to 68, saying the overwhelming task of responding to the tragedy created confusion, the Associated Press reports.
Police had said 86 people died when a gunman opened fire on retreat for young people on an island near Oslo. The rampage followed a bombing outside the government's headquarters. Police raised the toll in that attack to eight on Monday.
That brings the new toll to 76 people -- still one of the worst modern mass murders in peacetime.
Police spokesman Oystein Maeland said that higher, erroneous figure emerged as police and rescuers were focusing on helping survivors and securing the area, AP says
