The temperature is cranking and summer is in full swing (in the Northern hemisphere, at least). And, as with any season, there are certain songs that help evoke the mood, the feel, or stir up a specific memory. So I'd like to hear what your favorite (or most memorable) summer songs happen to be.
For me, it's Summer of Love by the B-52's. Just a light-hearted tune, with great harmonies and talk of orange popsicles and lemonade. And what's summer without lemonade?

Paco de Lucia - Alta Mar
My favorite song from the great album "Live...One Summer Night". I used to listen to this album when I was younger on summer days, on my walkman at the beach.
The song has a long intro - the acoustic guitars really kick off at around the 4 minute mark, and pretty soon it's passionate fireworks of guitar virtuosity of awesomeness!

I'm too lazy to choose my own, so those two will do for me.JRCHOharry wrote...

Don Henley- Boys of Summer I suppose it's more of an autumn song, but I'll always associate it with long drives in the summer.

Thanks for posting that. I'd never listened to any of her work. No longer the case.

Glad you like it!
You should also check out João / Astrud Gilberto (can't hear her well on that recording for some reason tho).
