Well I bought the signature edition the day it came out but haven't gotten to play it yet cuz I save my most favorite or intereting games last with Dragon Age 2 being the last one. I have Darksiders to complete which I'm playing now and then I have Cursed Mountain, The Calling, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World, Alice Madness Returns, Alan Wake, and Dead Space 2. So it won't be for a while before I play Dragon Age 2. I was hoping this game would be better than the original! I love bioware games with KOTOR being my favorite even though it's really old. I liked Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 1 but was dissappointed in them a lil cuz I thought the story and character interaction would be more epic. But I did like them. I still haven't played Mass Effect 2 cuz that's on the last of the list even though I didn't mention it before because i'm not going to play it until Mass Effect 3 comes out then I will play the whole trilogy. Anyways Dragon Age 2 ain't that bad is it? Ign gave it a 8.5 out of 10. What makes you fans dislike this game so much? Are the characters better in part 2 or is Origins better in that area? Also I will get the Legacy DLC too when it comes out in 2 days and all future DLC. Also will there be an expansion pack for Dragon Age 2 like there was for Origins? Also what would you rate all 3 dragon age games from best to worst (Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age Awakenings, and Dragon Age 2)

Sorry for the long post and thanks and god bless

I would say try the demo and decide for youself but you already own the game.

We don't know about anything except a DLC for DA2.

1. DAO
2. DAA
3. DA2

1.DAO
2.DA2
3.DAA

Origins is better than Dragon Age 2. But it is a good game. And it is not as bad as some of the people says it is.

I actually find it quite well done and very entertaining. There are flaws, yes, but nothing that would make me go "OMFG, this game is s***".

Well, OP, people's reasons for liking, loving, hating, and disliking the game (me) are varied. The best bet is to look at the BSN official constructive crit thread and their official reviews. That being said, I would have recommended playing the demo, still do. It will give you a feel for the game play.

Now you are going to get a lot of DA2 just sucks, to haters gonna hate, to DA2 is just the best game evah, to it was flawed, to people hated it cuz they wanted DAO2 and a carbon copy...blah, blah, blah.

It is an okay game in my opinion. Not horrible, not great, just meh. There are things I loved, things I liked, things I was meh about, things I disliked, and things I despised. Add them all together and for me it came out...bluh.

I didn't want a carbon copy, but the 180 from Origins, is what got my goat in the end. And while that made me angry (still does) I will not apply my emotion to the game. It is, for me, meh.

I don't know if this is what you were looking for, OP. Or if it helps any. Really, you should play it and make your own mind. What I think, at the end of the day, will be irrelevant to your enjoyment. And that is as it should be.

I do hope you enjoy it and have a lot of fun with it.

No. IMHO most of the rage borders on hyperbole of hyperbole.

Is the game perfect? No way. Was it rushed? Yes.

Is it still a good game? Hell, yes! Esp. after Patch 1.03. And as with DAO, mods are helping!!

But I'd advise you to make up your own mind. Do not let bandwagon hopping and exaggerated outrage influence your opinion on a game you haven't even played yet.

Enjoy. And if it turns out DAII is not your thing, there is always The Witcher 2. :wizard::)

Nothing is ever as bad as people say it is, and nothing is ever as good as people say it is either. You have to play it and find out yourself.

Is it as bad as the backlash says? I don't think any game could actually live up to how epically bad the DA2 backlash says the game is. However, it isn't very good. In a year that features Witcher 2, Human Revolution, Skyrim, and (hopefully) Diablo III, DA2 doesn't really cut it.

If you like playing a game to have fun, maybe blow through it 1-2 times, enjoy yourself, and move on to a new game, DA2 is great game. Fun, entertaining, and a good story.

If you like playing a game 17 times, memorizing the damage formulas for a level three fireball applied to a monster with +15 Hobbie resistance and an eleventy seven percent damage reduction from a tornado popsicle buff, all while sipping red wine and reflecting on the place of a mute dalish elf in a decaying Andrastian civilization, you won't enjoy DA2 as much. You'd be better off with DAO.

I would very much like eleventy-seven percent damage reduction. Where do I obtain this Tornando-Popsicle buff?

One entire box of popsicles.  Do not eat the green ones.  Those are mine.

You can't have it, it was a limited edition mod - 500,000 downloads only. Posted ImagePosted Image

It's never a good idea to try and speak for a whole group.

No, it's not exactly great, but it is hardly the weapons grade atrocity some make it out to be.

It's a traditional console game with a console game feel. Lots of people love that. I don't.

And DA:O is *such* a better game anyway, regardless.

If that's not an item, ability, NPC or piece of background fluff in future content, I'll need the reason why.

Funny how you bash DAO in hyperbole when you loved it back in the day. It's one thing to like DA2 better, but not to turn around and bash the hell out of DAO. And I'll skip the popscicle thanks, I prefer ice cream sandwiches...chocolate cookie with ice cream in the middle...yum.
