It didn't seem to effect Shep though as he just put the word "former" infront of it and went along his merry way. He did blow up a Mass Relay, and I'm assuming that no other Spectre's done that before. Usually rules are put in place because someone did them.

Also...it didn't seem to make a bit of difference in ME2 so I can't see it in ME3,at this point Shepard can rely on his reputation.

true but theres no way in hell they would command shepard they are risking their neck if they order him/her around XDLuc0s wrote...
If you're not a spectre then either Ashley or Kaiden (who survived the Virmire Mission) will take over the lead as SpeCTRes (they became Spectre in ME3) and then Shepard will have to start following orders from Ash/Kaidan.

^^this lets say you aren't a Spectre in ME3 the council sees the galaxy is burning and reinstates you anywayhelenovision wrote...
I think it's honestly going to be one of those things where, no matter what you picked, the game is going to force it back on you. I mean, Shepard doesn't need to be a Spectre to do what Shepard does, but I just have a feeling that even if you told the Council/Anderson to shove it about your status, you're still going to be a Spectre regardless. They may even just do a "oopies" and forget that option ever existed, who knows?

I doubt it, like its been said, in this situation, what would a title matter, so there would be no reason to force it back on you. I cant see any benefit to being a Spectre, I doubt the Reapers are going to leave because Shepard is a Spectre.

But, I'd still like to be a specter though. Or better yet, have other specters hunt me down, for past "crimes".

Quite in interesting thought. If you didn't play ME1 or the DLC that allowed you to save the Destiny Ascension, then I don't think your Spectre status was reinstated.

They are going to try shooting at you to stop you if they want to like every other person who anti your agenda, they wouldn't stop trying to shoot you if you were a spectre or not.
As for uniting the Alien Races with out spectre status.... "I'm commander shepard, I've killed reapers before" Should be enough.

That makes a lot of sence.Mykel54 wrote...
I think that at most i will affect a bit the trial on earth and how the council greets you when meeting with them (if they survived), but once the reapers actually invade i don´t think it will matter anymore.
