Our time is set right at the beginning of Mass Effect 2. Commander Shepard has been resurrected by Cerberus, the Collectors are abducting human colonies and the Illusive Man want Shepard to put an end to them. As expected, the council offered no help to speak of, other than a reinstatement as a show of 'good will'. So Shepard finds herself forced to set aside her opinions about Cerberus and use them as a mean to her goal, which is to make sure no more humans are taken.
In the meantime, life in the galaxy goes on. Citizens of the Milky way lead their lives unaware of the looming doom that would befall them soon, unless Shepard finds a way.

Fight For The Lost is a new roleplay community set in the intergalactic world of Mass Effect. We are currently looking for roleplayers.
Although the rules of the site say that a person's first character can't be a canon character, applications for the Normandy Crew are open.
This means even if this is your first character, you can apply for any of the Normandy crew.
