How do the Admiral's know they''ll get a Deus ex Machina? They don't! You're relying on a miracle which means your plan has bigger holes than the ones you claim are in the introduction.

We have pointed out the most important reasons why Earth needs defending and then Fixers0 you go - "Miracle happens" We may know that. The Admiral's don't.

Give C-Base to TIM, He develops a Weapons, Cerberus is part of the Alliance, Alliance fleet blows up reapers, Human dominance.

I'm not an optimistic person and I think we're all doomed, but, if I had to pray for a miracle it would be a large fleet of ships armed with weapons designed to tear Reapers to pieces.

Something like the Thanix. It's the only real chance we have. I would be hoping for Cerberus to pull something from the Collector base (or had been anyway), but I'm sure that won't happen now.

I have no idea how Shepard will convince the other races to throw themselves on the sword for us. It's preposterous. They have too many reasons to watch us burn.

And that makes more sense than the Alliance defending their species' homeworld? Right...

But he could convice the Alliance Honchos that there is nothing to worry about and that they don't need to protect earth, so that they can hold the fleet back, work well with the idea of military coup.

Or you could just hold your fleet back, and wait until you got a Deus Wx Machina to kill the reapers, so that you can asume control over the galaxy.

And how would they know a Deus Ex machina will come. Because ZULU traveled through time and gave them his prophecies?
History tells us that all people who wait for Deus Ex Machina to win their cause for them are still waiting ;)

I don't think any of the Alliance leaders would put their faith in some terrorist to come up with a solution for them.

And I really don't think Cerberus has such huge control over the Alliance so it can decide if the whole Alliance fleet stays back or not.

Again I ask how does your very contrived and convuluted explanation make more sense than the obvious answer?

Again, you say its wrong because you can imagine another cenario. This is rubbish and has nothing to do with solid argumentation.

The Alliance and the Council think Cerberus consists of a bunch of terrorists.

And before everyone starts yapping about how Cerberus isn't, I can just say that I don't give a damn.

It won't affect the Alliance's view on Cerberus in any way.

Both the Council and the Alliance refer to them as terrorists, which is Bioware telling us through in-game characters that Cerberus is a terrorist organisation, or at least an organisation that has commited acts of terror. Bioware created Cerberus so they would know wether Cerberus is a terrorist organisation.

I at least use my brain to come up with more logical alternatives rather then the crap bioware shoves us in the mouth.

Firstly, you didn't answer my question. For the second time. Just because you have read something doesn't mean that your contrived idea is more logical than the simple, obvious answer. It just means that you've read something.

Secondly, I have read those. I kinda agree with the Cerberus still being part of the Alliance, but his other threads are just contrived nonsense. Yes, some of the scenarios he dreams up would be interesting if they happened but the way he flaunts his ideas as 'fact' is just ridiculous.

So because Zulu writes it in his prephecies it must be true and all the codex that contradicts his fantasies must be a plothole thus.

And you call other people fanboys?

I've only read the OP so I don't know if this has been mentioned, but it seems to me that without Earth's military power as support, every human colony would become a big fat target for the Batarians. So imagine having 99% of the species wiped out, and then 99% of those surviving ending up as slaves. The ones who died would be lucky.

Is it not that most of Earth's funding and resources comes from large corporations and colonies outside the solar system, and that it's through this that the Systems Alliance is funded? So, not everything goes straight to the Alliance, but first goes to Earth and its various governing bodies, and is then distributed amongst the Alliance and colonization and so on

That is not so, no. Earth does profit from the colonies, of course, and even more from the raw materials mined on extrasolar planets. But with 99% of the population base on Earth, most of what's actually done is done on Earth. Even in industry production Earth will outweigh the sum of the colonies, and even more in high-tech enterprises and research. The sheer numbers will outweigh any strategic advantage a colony might have. You can see that if make one-sided examples: assume that 100% of colonial economy is industrial production, with 100 million people the total may rival a similarly dedicated country of 100 million on Earth. One.

@Cancer puppet:
Quite right. If humanity loses Earth but the batarians lose signficantly less, that's how it will very likely end.

Saphra and Zulu  and Fixer, forgot about him, would just go on with the Alliance fleet and whatever survivors they have, drifting away from Earth in some forgotten corner of the Galaxy, hoping the Reapers won't follow them and that some Starbuck character shows up to show them the way to new Earth after playing Bob Dylan's "All along the watchtower" on piano and finding the correct coordination.
The clues are out there. The prophecy is true.
