Hackett isn't in control of the entire Alliance fleet.

How do the Admiral's know they''ll get a Deus ex Machina? They don't! You're relying on a miracle which means your plan has bigger holes than the ones you claim are in the introduction.
We have pointed out the most important reasons why Earth needs defending and then Fixers0 you go - "Miracle happens" We may know that. The Admiral's don't.

And that makes more sense than the Alliance defending their species' homeworld? Right...Fixers0 wrote...

Or you could just hold your fleet back, and wait until you got a Deus Wx Machina to kill the reapers, so that you can asume control over the galaxy.

I don't think any of the Alliance leaders would put their faith in some terrorist to come up with a solution for them.
And I really don't think Cerberus has such huge control over the Alliance so it can decide if the whole Alliance fleet stays back or not.

But he could convice the Alliance Honchos that there is nothing to worry about and that they don't need to protect earth, so that they can hold the fleet back, work well with the idea of military coup.
Again I ask how does your very contrived and convuluted explanation make more sense than the obvious answer?Fixers0 wrote...

Both the Council and the Alliance refer to them as terrorists, which is Bioware telling us through in-game characters that Cerberus is a terrorist organisation, or at least an organisation that has commited acts of terror. Bioware created Cerberus so they would know wether Cerberus is a terrorist organisation.Fixers0 wrote...

Again, you say its wrong because you can imagine another cenario. This is rubbish and has nothing to do with solid argumentation.
Firstly, you didn't answer my question. For the second time. Just because you have read something doesn't mean that your contrived idea is more logical than the simple, obvious answer. It just means that you've read something.Fixers0 wrote...

That is not so, no. Earth does profit from the colonies, of course, and even more from the raw materials mined on extrasolar planets. But with 99% of the population base on Earth, most of what's actually done is done on Earth. Even in industry production Earth will outweigh the sum of the colonies, and even more in high-tech enterprises and research. The sheer numbers will outweigh any strategic advantage a colony might have. You can see that if make one-sided examples: assume that 100% of colonial economy is industrial production, with 100 million people the total may rival a similarly dedicated country of 100 million on Earth. Is it not that most of Earth's funding and resources comes from large corporations and colonies outside the solar system, and that it's through this that the Systems Alliance is funded? So, not everything goes straight to the Alliance, but first goes to Earth and its various governing bodies, and is then distributed amongst the Alliance and colonization and so on
