This morning I thought I'd get in a couple hours worth of playtime and when I got to the start screen it said all my DLC was corrupt (Exiled Prince, The Item Bundle, and Black Emporium).  With the 360 currently online, I decided to do as it said, uninstall and download again, but the problem still persists.

It doesn't happen on my spouse's account, just on mine.

So sad panda is me because I was totally looking forward to tomorrow and the new DLC, but won't be getting it until the issue is resolved.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Edit: Come to find out that I was on the wrong 360 (we have two in different rooms and it is now a DRM issue... or at least that is what it most likely is.  Since it works on one but not the other.  Now I have to figure out how to get around the DRM so I can play on both...<_<

Do you use two different accounts on a single system? Are you also logged in to the EA servers? See if the date on the system is off, as in, not the same in real life. Sometimes having the same date/time on the system will resolve server/DLC corruptions.

I will try help you as fast as i can to see if you get this resolved before the DLC tomorrow.

EDIT: If you bought/got DLC on a particular system, you then need to be on that system to get the DLC's to work. If not, re-downloading with your account should work if you are online and connected, but if you want perma transfer, you then need to go through a server item transfer online and then re-download every single content. It's a mess really.

Well we're using a thumb drive for our gamer profiles and saves since we had a corrupt hdd last time around and we lost hundreds of hours of play time. But DLC and stuff is saved directly to the new hard drives. That's part of the reason I'm thinking its a DRM problem. Since he can play it on both and I'm restricted to one.
But on a side note: how does a server item transfer work?

The item fransfering will move all license on your downloadable items over to a new console without getting any issues with DRM or whatnot. You can only do it, i believe, once a year.

Every content that's beeing bought on xbox live will be tide up to that system you bought it on, so there's one of the problems you are encountering. Having several accounts on a single system, or using thumb drives is an easy way to get tons of problems with licensing.

So would it be easier to buy the dlc for my gt or would it still cause problems because of random issues( if I directly save it to the thumb drive)?

If you buy the DLC with your account, then you technically own it, unless you want to play it on other consoles, then issues may occur with the licensing. The best way to avoid stuff like this is to just have your own gamertag, thumb-drive and system to play on. Jumping on to other systems with the different licensing codes can be a mess.

Alright. That seems to be the only way I can do things. Blast to the inconvenience. :( Well thanks for the help. I'll probably bang my head into the keyboard for a few minutes before I go and do something about it.

Your issue is simply put as Micro$oft is greedy and wants you to pay more money for the content your spouse owns through his account. He can play the content on any console with his gamer tag because the content is linked to his account but your account must play it on the console the content was originally paid for on. It's really stupid actually. I mean I understand why Micro$oft does it at the same time it screws over people that are in couples and don't want/shouldn't have to buy the same content two times over. Sorry people that want to just recover someone else tag and get content for free ruin the whole thing for you. That makes me a super sad panda.
