My Shepard isnt from Earth so he would have less of a hard time making the decision.

Probably logical choice is whichever has the highest space non homeworld population would be the one you let homeworld vanish since they would have the biggest chance of population growth after world gone the exception would be Krogan given their issue with birth rates etc in which case they would be saved or geno undone so would increase population growth. But on a more non logical note I think humans world should be one not saved.

The asari and the turians are the most spread-out species, so it's either Thessia or Palaven.

@Dragonloordz:
Why is it "logical" that humanity should not be saved? (Especially since you said the opposite was logical in the first sentence)

People forget that Reapers dont destroy planets. They harvest the inhabitants. They need to leave the planets intact so the next harvest can evolve and find the leftovers to catapult their technology.

A lot of shepard psychopaths on here. It would of course never be easy to sacrifice billions for my shepard even though he is a renegade. But I'd probably sacrifice Tuchanka, its a wasteland anyways and the krogan breed like rabbits.

I'd pick Earth or Palaven.

Pre-Genophage, yes. You are also forgetting that pretty much every Krogan female is on Tuchanka.

Nope. I would not sacrifice my own planet for aliens.

Source stating most krogan females are on Tuchanka? Or is this an assumption. And thats why I kept the genophage reasearch.

Earth, it just an Alliance money sinkhole anyway.

99% of the Resources the Alliance need comes from outside of the sol system, so really it's much more economcial benficial for the Alliance to stop wasting time defending that 'acid waste slum' and focus on stopping the reapers.

It's non logical to me because I abandoned logic to form that choice. It wasn't based on population growth and sustainability within the universe. The decision wasn't based onlogic in other words is what I mean't.

Wrong, Earth is not  Alliance property, Civilians belong to each independant nation.

The Asari have another major world in Illum. Thessia is nice but not totally critical when you have a good enough backup planet. Choosing from a loss perspective and together with the entire "Asari maidens spend decades dancing on various planets (hence not at homeworld)", Thessia would be the first to go.

I would choose the asari homeworld, they have colonised so many worlds (like ilium) that the los of their homeworld would only be a tragedy.

All the other races don't have as many colony's as the Asari

where is your proof of this concept?

Is this a choice you have to make in ME3?

Need a link or something

Asari. Economies can be fixed. THey have a large and stable population with many colony worlds and the most adaptable form in terms of giving birth. Hah, this is an easy one.

Well it's not THAT easy, so much people still have to die. Asari in this case. Loss of diversity not a viable option, all species vital. No other species can recover as fast as the Asari either or are too vulnerable and would be finished off from the attack to rebuild. Sorry, but your own success is your downfall in this case.

If I can see reasons later on to pick another over the Asari I would obviously consider it.

This will not be a Titan A.E event. http://movieclips.co...h-is-destroyed/

The only one that would be major blow to their society if they're lost would be Tuchanka.

Tuchanka- all of the Krogan who live on Tuchanka, as well as the majority of the fertile females, live on Tuchanka. Losing them, you've lost the species only chance at survival.

So thats the only one i can really think protecting is important. The rest have enough Colonies and outposts that they'd be able to rebuild. Earth would be a close second because we haven't really been around long enough to be as established as say the Asari.

While I'll let any planet burn if it means saving the galaxy, when it comes to choices, my scale of choice is population viability > colonies > soldiers avaliable > cultural impact. This puts the krogan/Tuchanka at the bottom of my 'nuke 'em all and let God sort them out' list, while the asari and the salarians (from what little we know of their reproduction) are closer to the top.

Tuchanka in a heartbeat. It's already a dead world.
