If Shepard had time to wash and shampoo her hair in the middle of combat then you could consider it something of a parody. Her hair is messy because she's a soldier and couldn't give a flying **** when she's got all manner of creatures trying to kill her!

That's nice, but realize that you're telling people that they're not allowed to have an opinion when you post this, DuckSoup. You've posted similar things several times, and I don't think you understand that saying "You're not allowed to complain because I like it" is kind of rude behaviour. You're welcome to do that, but please stop pretending to be shocked when people don't like it.
Also, heavy black eye-makeup and pretty, artfully messy hair is not the same thing as "feminine, attractive, and blonde". It's significantly beyond that.
One complaint that does seem like it's valid from the shots BW put on Facebook, but not from the actual close-ups at the 'Con is that they have doll-like perfect skin. So that's probably not going to be a problem.
Also, do you're a serious hypocrit to whine about this whilst calling current FemShep "manly, lop-sided and ugly". You're complaining about people insulting the thing you like, whilst being extremely rude about the thing other people like.

Did everyone miss my second comment? They all look like Bratz dolls. I don't mind sexy characters. I like Miranda's outfit in all of it's crack-eating glory; I think they add to her character and they make sense for her fighting style. I think Tali's outfit is cute. I have reservations about Samara's neckline, but eh whatever.
All the femsheps look like 17 year olds. They look almost exactly the same, just with different weaves. Miranda looks like a confident adult woman. Samara carries herself as a dangerous, beautiful warrior. These femsheps look like they should be getting ready for the SATs. I just wish that female Shepard would be bit more femine. Being a woman shouldn't be weakness, but a feature (maybe a poor word for it, sorry english isn't my primary languange).. Female Shepard is just too manly, so I can just play as male Shepard and basicaly get the same experience. It really shows that male Shepard is the template for dialogue.
Too bad, wasted potential. But it is easier to just make her act like a man.

I know exactly what your saying and thats you don't think they gave you enough choices to be 'good enough' you have even said so yourself in almost those exact words. Well boohoo cry me a river I'm sorry but they are under no obligation to give you enough to satsify your own individual desires such as make up, eye colour, hair colour, freckles, birthmark or tatoos even one eye bigger then the other, half bred with another race, cybernetic implants choices.
They gave you a selection you pick from that selection and stop moaning about not enough choice for you.

No, I'm not saying people can't have an opinion at all. I'm just saddened that there is going to be a female commander shepard on the collector's edition, if that is the truth. I played a female shepard in the first game (since, pretty much only male shepards in both games so far), but I always felt like the protagonist was supposed to be male. It is an RPG of course, so people should be able to play the shepard they want to play. I just feel that the cover-shepard is sheploo or w/e you guys call him.

Yes, this is an addition, and that's good, but that doesn't mean people aren't allowed to have opinions on it that aren't positive.
I do think people ragging on the "blonde" bit are barking up the wrong tree, but the eye-liner and pretty-messy hair are open to critique.

As for the face generator? No, it didn't work. As I've explained in other posts and other threads, unless you made your Shep ugly she ended up looking almost identical to every other Shep created (except for the hair colour/ style). This isn't something I've picked on randomly; it's something I've seen by studying a large selection of FemSheps across the internet.

Just cross your fingers and hope Bioware don't use the lego plastic hair from DA2 else no matter what hair they add it will end up looking tacky, however I have a little more faith in ME side of development than DA side.

All this said, I've just seen a close-up of the new FemShep and she looks uncannily like my little sister, so I'm a bit weirded out by all this right now lol!
