Just cross your fingers and hope Bioware don't use the lego plastic hair from DA2 else no matter what hair they add it will end up looking tacky, however I have a little more faith in ME side of development than DA side.

We may not agree on much, but yeah, with you 100% here. Jesus the DA2 hair is incredibly plastic-looking.

Just puttin it out there femShep Jane 1.0 was already cute ;) , i don't see why their changing it but it's whatever

I'm glad someone brought this up. I agree!  I'm in favor of Femshep as I primarily play as Femshep, but it does seem weird that the proposed Femsheps don't really resemble all our past creative options.  All this time playing as Femshep and then see some strange lady on the box. It's like choosing a dialogue option and something totally different comes out of Shepard's mouth...

Aren't other people being extremely rude about blondes? I thought I'd be just as rude and immature too. Except I'm not directing it at anything REAL. FemShep doesn't actually exist.

But people who LIKE current FemShep ARE real! So you think the fact that "Dudebro X" insulted blondes because he's a twit means it's fine for you to insult everyone who likes the current FemShep? What?!

Seriously, DuckSoup, by doing stuff like that, you're becoming worse than half the people you're complaining about.

As for the face generator? No, it didn't work. As I've explained in other posts and other threads, unless you made your Shep ugly she ended up looking almost identical to every other Shep created (except for the hair colour/ style). This isn't something I've picked on randomly; it's something I've seen by studying a large selection of FemSheps across the internet.

So let me get this straight - you believe all non-ugly FaceGen Sheps look the same. Okay, fair enough, that's your belief. But you seem to think the solution to this is that there should be a "default" FemShape face - doesn't that do exactly the same thing? Lead to all Sheps looking the same? I guess it might lead to two looks - the "FaceGen Pretty" Shep and the "Default" Shep. I guess two is better than one but that seems... questionable.

All this said, I've just seen a close-up of the new FemShep and she looks uncannily like my little sister, so I'm a bit weirded out by all this right now lol!

I didn't say anything that was a personal attack on the current FemShep fans (if, however, we have someone on BSN who happens to look like her then, yes, it could be taken as a personal attack) Saying that blonde is like a 'porn star' IS offensive to people with blonde hair (which is probably far more common on here than women who look like the original FemShep)

[EDIT: I've not jumped on anyone who has said they didn't like the style of number 5. Or any of them for that matter. Because people are entitled to their opinion and if they don't like the look of them and prefer the original that's fine. But I will have something to say when people automatically lump blondes into the dumb/doll/porn star category.]

I said that I think the old FemShep is ugly. I said that I didn't like her. I said that it's going to be nice for those of us who didn't like her to have a different style to play about with. I also said that they'll still be able to play with the one they prefer. I've also said in previous posts that we should, in theory, all get to have the kind of Shep we're all after.

I don't think that's such a crime.  Other people have said insulting things, yet I'm the one being picked on for thinking the old style was too manly and ugly? Riiiiight.

Its still bad they are holding the poll on Facebook where any retard can vote ME fan or no. This is why I feel the Blonde is winning.

Or maybe, just maybe. People happen to like the blonde the most? I know, it truly is astonishing fans of the series might happen to fancy that variation of Shepard.

Give your head a shake for asinine remarks such as this and accept the fact that just because their opinion differs from yours, they are not "any retard." I myself prefer long hair for women, and happen to like blondes, although red is always a favorite. Guess which got my vote?

For the topic itself, a +1 if there ever was one.

The BSN poll seems to be shaking out the same, anyway.

I want 5 to win and by look of it will do, I don't mind if the hair is blonde, black, red or brown the colour any of them is fine with me. But the face and style of hair is what matters to me. I also thought PugShep was also quite ugly (imho) and why I have never used the default look for her and made all mine myself using custom.

Since most people will be importing theirs it shouldn't make much difference to them, if someone is offended by having a blonde longer hair young looking FemShep then they entitled to their opinion and can use custom feature if not importing and make own like I have had to do for past two titles.

You said that she was ugly, manly and lopsided, whilst crying buckets of tears because people thought the one you liked (which I also like, funnily enough, just not as much as 4) was doll-like.

That's hypocrisy, and it was also totally unnecessary and just made you look bad. So yeah, sorry, you're guilty as charged. You may not like it, but maybe you should think that next time you're mad about people calling the thing you like ugly, the answer isn't to call something else ugly?

Two wrongs don't make a right, and if that's too hard for you, I don't know what to tell you. Yes, people who say "blonde = porn star" are wankers. But that's not the same as saying the eye-liner and perfectly-messy hair are a bit silly (much as I like the latter).

Did everyone miss my second comment? They all look like Bratz dolls. I don't mind sexy characters. I like Miranda's outfit in all of it's crack-eating glory; I think they add to her character and they make sense for her fighting style. I think Tali's outfit is cute. I have reservations about Samara's neckline, but eh whatever.

All the femsheps look like 17 year olds. They look almost exactly the same, just with different weaves. Miranda looks like a confident adult woman. Samara carries herself as a dangerous, beautiful warrior. These femsheps look like they should be getting ready for the SATs. I don't want ugly, I don't need scars up the yin yang and they don't need shoulders the size of krogans. I do want someone who looks like a soldier past the fresh flush of tweenhood. Make up, hair, not as big a deal for me. Don't give a s--t if she's blonde or a redhead or brunette.

Yup.

Lolwut?

People weren't calling the blonde version ugly; they were saying that making her blonde made her look like a doll/too Hollywood/Porn Star. If they thought she was ugly I wouldn't give a damn because I'm well aware that we can't find everyone attractive. But they weren't doing that, were they? They were saying that making the character blonde somehow automatically destroys her image/badassery or some other craziness. That is insulting to blonde people because we're not all the same.

Also, I'm not the one calling the older style a 'pug' and so on which I have seen others do. I said she was manly, ugly and lopsided ; My personal opinion on her face, not on the people who like her. You, however, have somehow taken that as me personally attacking the fans of the original.

I sense that you're not going to understand where I'm coming from, though.

Nope - you were responding to a poster who was responding to someone calling her "like a Bratz doll", and that poster even explained that they meant the hair STYLE not the colour.

I think I understand where you're coming from, but I'm not sure I respect it very much. I'm blond-ish myself, and most of my family is blonde, but I don't think that means it's okay for me to insult stuff other people like, for no good reason.

Also, it's fun to see all the people run to defend the person who claims she's a small blonde lady on the internet. Predictable, but fun :P Goddamn, makes my creep-alarm go off a lot though.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.  I thoroughly disagree with her that my Shepard is ugly (:P) but we can't all find the same things visually appealing, and that's certainly not something I find offensive or hurt by.  If she said seriously that anyone who looks like her was a skanky ho or anything derisive like that, then I would think that was offensive, but I don't see her suggesting that.

Okay, first of all, I didn't respond to the person who said it was like a bratz-doll, I responded to the person who responded to that person. Why? Because I agreed with their point of view on the matter. Because it is getting tiring.

Second, other people have given their opinions on the way FemShep looks, so why can't I? I thought she was ugly, manly and lopsided - and I still do. If people think she's pretty, I'm not going to attack them for it. If people think the new ones are ugly, I'm not going to attack them for it. They are entitled to their opinion. Just as I am entitled to mine.

Finally, I find your last two sentences offensive as I'm sure many others would. People aren't rushing to my defence because I'm blonde; they're defending me because they feel what I'm saying is fair or makes sense. Again, this is another example of idiotic views in relation to the ridiculous blonde stereotypes.

Example: "Hey, she's blonde and men like blondes because they're easy!"

For the record, I'm a natural brunette.
