Not sure if this had been discussed

So the Protheons made the conduit to tap into the mass relay on the citadel. Their plan; stop soveriens signal from making the keepers flip the switch that allows the reapers from darkspace to mass relay onto the citadel.


Why couldn't the protheon scientists that made it onto the citadel leave a tablet or that same ilos style hologram at the citadel council. Or a secret hologram that activated when sovereign attempted to send the keepers a signal. Protheons had that many years to plan this and they couldnt think of that tut. 

Maybe sovereign sent an indoctrinated agent every now and again to make a clean sweep on the the citadel while it was still not rediscovered. Maybe he had motion sensors on the citadel that sent him a one-off signal, so he was like wait a minute...a new space faring race has found the citadel only 1 year after i annhilated the galaxy, this is fairly obviously, another species try this exact same thing 6 cycles ago... and then he came back and killed the stranded protheon scientists found their hidden messages but didnt realise they hacked the keepers.

But the protheons figured out that tactically a reaper stays behind so they must of foresaw this problem also but they couldnt plan for it?
