I don't think it's cheating. What happened on Horizion, yea ok maybe they think you haven't been dead after all and you never contacted them. I see why they would be hurt. However, Kaidan writes a e-mail and states he went out with a Dr. for some drinks. The relationship wasn't serious but that wouldn't stop him from sleeping with her. Do we know what they have done in 2 yrs? Also the end of the e-mail...when things calm down a little...maybe..idk! That doesn't tell me he wants to be with me. It sounds more like I don't know if I want to date you again. I don't know what I want.
Now if you started a relationship with your ME2 LI and then don't end it and sleep with the VS....that is cheating.
Though what scares me the most is what if we will have another Virmire but with our LI's. We have to let one die. Bioware said the decision comes at the worst time. I hope to God I won't have to make that kind of choice.

great, i have to either stay with Ashley (who i tried to NOT romance and still ended up doing so on accident cause the game is all like "dur hur hur, you was nice, you romanced her cause i said so", i actually tried to romance NO ONE.)

You know a lot of people had the same problem! They didn't want to romance anyone but was forced in that direction. Then you are wondering how did this happen all I did was be nice lol

You don't have to sleep with her, you can reject her before ilos when she comes to your cabin. Then in ME2 she shows up as just a 'friend'
So yeah really it's your own fault for going through with it.

I'm on team Moved On. It feels like an individual perception kind of thing, I think, but if someone called me a traitor and said take care, that's a see-ya to me. Maybe it's also that Shepard knows she's going into a suicide mission and would like to have one night of feeling human again, or even wants to feel support from another human being when she feels like she's lost the support she had. Maybe it's sentimentality, but I picture her going to Kasumi's bar and having a drink following Horizon. It's the "I've been dumped and it's an arrow to the heart" drink. We've all had one.

But that doesn't mean that for some Shepards a romance couldn't be rekindled in ME3 that was lost.
