Replayed ME1 to make a MaleShep/Soldier/Barrier character; he will be my canon Shep. I'm a gay-gamer (male) and was super excited when I learned that ME3 will feature S/S romances. But I'm worried. Since Most of the characters introduced have been straight, how will BioWare approach this new feature? Will there be new characters introduced or will old characters be tweaked a little?
I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are on this subject. Personally, I hope either Kaidan, Thane or James are potential romance options for my MaleShep.

they should keep all past LI hetro as portrayed and off the s/s agenda and they should make brand new characters like vega and fling options like shiala s/s options. And op sense you're for s/s options go to the s/s thread.

There's been rumors that Kaidan is a s/s option, but it hasn't been confirmed by Bioware. Other than that, we haven't gotten any hints; we may not even know until right before the game has been launched, like with DA2. Personally I'm hoping for Vega, since I love me some muscles, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I wonder if they will even tell us, just say play the game and find out. Personally I hope it's Vega and I'd like a new female s/s romance also, as long as we are guessing.

Mass Effect is reaching romance overload. I know they aren't, but I'd rather they focus on the ones we have now.
Also the characters that aren't LIs are generally the most interesting; because half their character development isn't wrapped in a romance sub-plot.

We really don't know how they'll address it. The announcement has caused a lot of gmaers to make new gay Sheps that haven't romanced anyone in the first 2 games though.

Trouble is, the Squad in ME3 is already beginning to look like 'The Loveboat' specially if Vega is a new S/S LI, which means that the only squadmates we've had announced so far are all LIs.
Previous 2 games have been a 50/50 split as far as LIs and non-LIs go and seeing as squad is supposed to be smaller than in ME2, it looks like that ratio isn't going to happen in ME3 already.
