I was talking to Eudaimonium, and he said he'd like to try out my "realistic damage" mod, so here's the coalesced.ini for him, and anyone else who wants to try it out:

My "Mod" barely deserves to be called that, its not very complex, I used Flash's ME2 mod, then used his "coalesced modding tutorial" to further mod it myself -

http://www.moddb.com...odding-tutorial

- I am playing on insanity, so I simply changed the health multipliers for everything (enemy, player, henchmen, friendly) at difficulty level 5, to 0.1 for low, and 0.2 for high, and removed the enemy shield bonus. Now people take damage roughly equal to that in cutscense - shepard will take about 5 SMG shots before dying, depending on upgrades.

Also I have made sprint last MUCH longer, as I can sprint longer than shepard in his power armour! Given guns infinite ammo to imitate ME1 heat system, (not heavy weapons) powers work through shields - like in cutscense - and due to the fact I dont like the the global cooldown system, and in cutscenes there is no cooldown, I have set it to 0.1 for enemy and squad (almost instant but not quite, because instant makes barrier invincible).
As I want it fair, anemies shields also now regenerate like Shepards.

Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
Iv also put in some alternate casual outfits from the mass effect modding thread. Assualt shotgun is now automatic, hench do as much damage as players, plus a few more lil tweaks.

A few mistakes and your dead in this, but play tactically and you neednt make any. Although the reduced cooldown may seem to "overpower" powers, with guns as deadly as they are in cutscenes; leaning out to fire a warp, can leave you full of holes, even as an adept I kill most enemies with SMG, It balances surprisingly well.

Note: Its only set up for insanity difficulty, and its not advisable to use it with the hammerhead, backup your origional, ect ect.

Feedback welcome

In answer to private question:

Flash mod, the base Mod I started from (I linked you to his tutorial, where you can find his mod) modifies the bonus for a second playthrough with the same ME2 Char, giving you loads of minerals so that you dont have to do the mining again after doing it the first time.

As for combat, yes it is quick, (although after playing through already, quick combats are nice) and I wish I could double the enemy spawn or something. I agree that big enemies - E.G. Gunship and YIMIR are too weak (although missile launcher charging the gunship on smaras mission was awesome) I was hoping that changing the "enemy health high" bonus from 0.1 to 0.2 would increase the health for tough enemies, but I'm not sure if its worked. It might be possible to manually adjust the health of certain enemies.

BTW you shouldnt need a coalesced compiler (I dont even know what that is) just rename your origional coalesced in program files/mass effect 2/biogame/config/pc/cooked and paste in my one.

In regards to armour/shields, I'll get back to you.

Your ammo idea is... interesting, It could be pretty cool, and I think I know how to do it quite simply, just by editing the guns, although... Im not sure it fits the lore, and what do you do if you run out of ammo?
