Im playng my ninth game at the moment and Im still finding new things I havent seen.

Today as I walked into the Noveria garage and was attacked by Geth I learned you can actually get into the Tank that is sitting there(not the Mako) and fight with the turret!

Has anyone else found small things like this after playing the game for so long?

Sweet, never knew you could do that, and I have more than 9 complete plays.........rofl.
I knew about the video scene next to the beacon on the first planet.
I knew there was a chest to open on the same planet in the box the 3 smuggler/farmers were hiding in.
I knew there was a basement entrance to Saren's Facility after blowing up the flyers and killing the two Krogan.
But I had missed the ability to use the gun....guess the Geth never lived long enough to need it.
??Does it cut Experience points like the Mako does?

I learn something new every playthrough. Never knew you could make Anoleis and Parasini kill each other.

Im not sure what it does to experience to be honest I was smiling too much shooting Geth with the cannon after getting in the tank to notice.

Funny enough I discovered this cannon playing my last game Im preparing for ME3 and my Sheps name is Canon Shepard.

Let's see there is always the scene with Ash and Kaidan down in the Wards(this one varies depending on whether you're playing a male or female Shep), there is the Destiny Ascension fly by, there is crazy/upset Liara if you leave Therum until last.

There are also the extra turrets on the Luna mission, extra Rachni on Altahe, and some mercenaries around one of the probes on one of the UNC worlds.  Oh and let us not forget the shifty cow.

I didn't know about that turret either... Hah, haven't played ME1 as much lately as ME2, should do another thorough pass to remind myself, I knew I found a few things my friend also said he didn't know about.

However, what does this exactly refers to:

I knew about the video scene next to the beacon on the first planet.

mcsupersport?

One thing that thoroughly surprised me was reading that you can actually finish the whole Mass Effect without recruiting Garrus and Wrex in your team. I mean I knew I had to go to talk to them, said in the objectives... but it never crossed my mind to NOT go talk to them.

Going through the game and not having two of galaxy's best characters is like missing out on 50% of the game. Wrex himself being 35% out of those fifty.
Shepard: "Let's not start a fight"
Wrex: "Why not?"
-Upon encountering Captain Maeko Matsuo on Noveria, choosing neutral conversation option after you're asked to hand over your guns and things get heated.
Uhh, I play too much Mass Effect :P

Before you click on the beacon on Eden Prime, walk to the railing to the left of it and you get a short scene with Ash and Kaidan.

Wow, how come I missed that? I went left before, after the railing there's a safe to crack on the wall and not much else. Or so I thought. Thanks, I'll be sure to do that on my next playthrough.

Cool, thanks man :)

Also, on Noveria, when Gianna Parasini talks to you and apologises for the incident earler, choose the Renegade reply, lower right. Not being a native English speaker, I laughed for 5 minutes.

^ Eden Prime Video.

And you have to recruit at least one of the two Garrus or Wrex, but you don't have to recruit both.
IT allows you to not have to worry about getting enough persuade points or doing his armor quest if you want.  IF you don't recurit him until after Virmire then it doesn't matter, and if you don't recruit Garrus and do Liara last, you can't fail the persuade of Wrex on Virmire.

I am also on my ninth file and actually had not known of this TC. Likewise only now did I realize Udina had dialogue after Therum, and I imagine each major plot mission.

I found out about that on my Insanity playthrough. I ran over to the boxes surrounding the vehicle for cover, and found out you could hack it to control the gun.

I always picked up Liara first. Is she really crazy when you do get her last?

I have to test the Liara thing out - I've just started a new ME1 playthrough, so its perfect timing!

Thanks for the other tips guys - will have to remember to use the tank on Noveria.

Edit - Thinking about it, I wonder how late I can leave Liara's recruitment?  I'm going to try to see if I can get as far as Ilos without her...muahaha.  Eh, she's probably part of the trigger for Virmire or something, curse it.  It is interesting though - if you can leave her until really late in the game it makes her actions in ME2 a little bizzare ;-)

You can make Liara the last of the four main missions to be done before going back to the Citadel and then Ilos. You can't wait until Ilos simply because she is the one to look at your vision and tell you it is Ilos.

@mcsupersport - That makes perfect sense - I'd forgotten about that little factoid.

Yep.
If you save Therum till last, then she's simply been trapped there for so long that she doesn't believe you're real until you actually blast your way to her. It's an amusing dialogue.

Had no idea about the Eden Prime cutscene, interesting. Also I only noticed the conversation with Kaidan and Ash in the Wards in my last playthrough which must have been the 5th or so.
The game definitely has some surprises to find in new playthroughs. I just started another one, for the first time a Paragon Adept so I'll run around with Tali for the first time, should be interesting.

For those that don't wanna play all the way through just to see it, here's Liara:

That is so funny you mentioned the Eden Prime cutscene...discovered it myself about a week ago. You know what I cannot find on 14ish playthroughs (M&F of each Shepclass, some good, some evil) is a compelling reason to save the Council. Maybe I am a renegade at heart..

Reason I will almost always save them.....you get your specter status back in ME2.

Let 'em die.  Pick Anderson.  Still get Spectre status.

I didn't know you could go back to the citadel after doing Feros or Noveria and have a little chat about each mission with Anderson and Udina.

Does anyone know what happens in Virmire if you choose to turn on the alarms in other section of the building so the guards go after Kirrahe? Do you get to hear the carnage through radio or something?

The best part is actually waiting until after Virmire, pick up Liara last right before Illos, then hear the chat in the briefing room. Everyone goes 'oh hey we found all this stuff about the protheans and it took us five minutes not like you who spent your whole life searching can you dig it Liara' and she's like :'(

And zero chance at a Liara romance.  The scene of her freaking out is amusing but it's not worth being down a party member for most of the game, especially one with Singularity.
