Doing anything costs money. so say u cant do something cause it costs money, is crazy because by that logic u might as well not even begin something. Makine a movie, game or anything is a risk of course. We have people that agree they shoulda done more, and we have people think the reasons arent justified. I dont see any whose right or wrong, but at least i would hope it gives people the chance to think about these types of things for next games. Even though u cant please everyone.

I definitely agree that there should have been different music for the scene, but I think Alistair looked unhappy enough about the situation, he was cringing and backing away and looking altogether terrified and sick to his stomach. I'm convinced he didn't enjoy it at least, which is all that matters for my PC. XD

Exactly! That's my biggest iff was the music for that scene! XD

I'm curious what kind of music people have in mind?  The only type of music for a sex scene, that is not romantic, would be the *bow chinka bow bow* from porn music.  Or would it be similar to the combat score?  Or perhaps something dreary or eerie?  Anything I imagine would seem to very out of place for this scene -- but then again, I'm not a music score artist.

I think people that play games made by others have a right to speak what they want. The customers are the ones giving them money to play it. Even more ehn a customer knows the insides of it. And I am an avid believer of customers aren't always right, in fact most of the time they're downright wrong. But that's your place to disagree with me.

If all you wanted was to say that it would be nice that they added this, then fine, whatever, but when you start saying it's lazy, and it's expected of them to put more time/money/resource into this small insignificant part after paying for a game thats fully over 3 times the length of most other games for the same price and calling them out on being LAZY, that just gets my goat.

If you say that some game breaking bugs were shipped with the game, I can back you on that, and call that lazy testing. If you say textures are missing on some parts that shouldn't, I can back you up and call it lazy testing, but when you say a content that they never intended to ship with and call it lazy development, thats when I say it's absurd,.

Quite possibly, but I doubt it. I had he and Morrigan in my party consistently throughout the game and they cut no corners when making it clear to one another of their mutual hatred. So I disagree with everyone saying that he'd enjoy it simply because Morrigan is hot. Alistair's character is specifically set up to be a naive, romantic and inexperienced lover and I think Bioware did a fantastic job making it clear through his character development how I think he'd feel about the act.

I wold disagree o nthe part with bugs. Alot of games ahve glitches or bugs, even if properly tested. Especially for MMOs. IF its something they dont know about how can they fix it right? The customer may not always be right but again we are the ones buying.  making a game for urself only u can do whatever u want then.  Budget or time constraints i feel is just an excuse most of the time. Cause they can tell us how this will be great and all that stuff and just blatanley lie, when we actually play the game. There are people that know how things go, as do i. and i know how tough things can get.  But  to put off one thing to focus on something else is nothign but lazeniess in my mind. cause its then better to not put something in entirely then put something in, with half the work. a game appeals to many different eyes, and i feel its wrong to just focus on one aspect and leave another out the window. Much like how in todays world alot focus mianly on graphics and the game substance ends up sucking.

Well...I'm not entirely sure either, but the music they used just doesn't seem right since it isn't romance. I can see something a bit...dark...since it's a dark ritual O.o but that's about it lol

I think he'd hate going through it, but he bears it because well, his beloved PC persuaded him to, and well... sex for a male is generally enjoyable, so even if he feels like trash afterwards it's not like he'll cut himself over it. He'll probalby never speak of it ever again, either.

Wincing yes.  They should show Morrigan wincing as well.  Do they?  I haven't seen this scene (I like to spare Loghain, send Alistair on his way, and then send Morrigan on her crazy-a** way, so I don't usually see it).

I really don't think he would feel like trash after it... even if he's a fully devoted, fully-in-love-with-PC man.  I think his conscience would eat him up and he would feel like trash IF and only IF he was having sex with Morrigan for a dishonest reason... I think men are more capable of detaching their emotions from sex than this thread suggests.  If he was truly cheating on the PC whom he loved, I think he might feel like garbage afterward, but in this case where it is not dishonest sex.... simply non-romantic sex.... I think he would enjoy it... just the act of it at least.

Now hold on one second. All they did was put a single animation into that scene. It's not like they sacrificed gameplay for graphics or fun for self-glorified fiction. They aren't 'putting off' a part they never intended to add in the first place, it just was never built for that in the first place.

How can you be lazy about a part that the higher ups didn't want in place in the first place?
What you're asking for is like going to a movie director and telling them that you didn't like one small part of it because you felt that his character should be doing something else, and calling them lazy for not doing it like you thought it should've been done.
And I know a lot of people who claim this. I call them absurd too. It was never intended to be put on the piece, why in the world should it be lazy not to include it?
And quite frankly, you're arguing something that goes beyond the scope of the discussion. How exactly did they lie to you in the first place? Did they tell you, HEY, Alistairs going to sleep with Morrigan if you choose it, and he'll wince and whine like he got raped, I promise you this!
