Biotics continually toned down with each sequal?

ME3 truely needs a remake of its difficulty settings and the particular way abilitiies work on protections.

Oh no... not more nerf. God no, the Adept is a shattered little individual compared to the original. It's so distracting from a lore perspective to why Biotics are getting weaker and weaker.
In the Known Features thread, under the Dev Promises section, it says "Biotics are more potent in Combat."

I'll believe it when I actually see it. Adepts in ME2 were nerfed.
I remember in ME1 casting singularity and turning an entire room into a tornado of death with crates and enemies smashing into each other. And the enemies usually did not survive the experience. In ME2 you were lucky to grab one or two bad guys and then to kill them you have to shoot them or have a squaddie take them out. Adepts in ME3 should return to their ME1 powerhouse roots.

(1) ME2's nerf is an overreaction to its OPness in ME1. BioWare knows it well from all the loud clamouring among the fans.
(2) From what we see in the demo the Soldier receives considerable buffs. Concussive shot, underused considered underpowered in ME2, has been buffed. It is natural for the same thing to happen to powers like Shockwave.
(3) For one thing, in the demo it's clear that all Biotic powers have much increased projectile speed (so much that they look like insta-hits compared to ME2). This will increase the potency of Biotics greatly as it removes a lot of unpredictability and increases effective operating range.

Sound logic. I am still worried about unintended effects though. Like not having a good selection of companions which the adept relied on to be effective or the reduced power of warp explosions. But I do agree with you, the intention will be to power them up a bit.iOnlySignIn wrote...
Actually I think Biotics will be buffed a little this time around. For 2 reasons:

Biotics in ME1 were incredibly broken and made insanity a joke, I'm glad they were toned down. If you want Shepard to kill enemies with a flick of his wrist then just play on casual.

I for one, want my singularity tornado of death back (thanks CommanderNuetral!). But, I have a feeling that EA will influence Bioware into nerfing biotics more because in EA's eyes, this is a shooter, and that requires guns.

Singularity - Warp - BOOM
Warp Ammo - Defenses - Lift - Throw - SCREAMING
That's how BW intended Biotics to be. Used in combos for deadly results.

Bioware hates biotics, they'll nerf them into the ground in ME3.
Have you paid attention at all?
