I've gotten to the Circle Tower during Witch Hunt and in the library, you're supposed to find some hidden tomes that will boost stats and etc after you unlock them while going through the index.  I've played through Witch Hunt a few times and have never gotten these extra tomes to pop, and never get the reladed index entry while reading the G-L section, as mentioned in the wiki.

Was this part of the game removed at some point or are these extra tomes/essence of willpower restricted to a specific platform?  I'm doing everything exactly as described in the wiki, but these items never appear.  Each index section only includes 4 entries, but nothing on mage training or mage weaponry.  I'm able to find the sections related to the Eluvian Mirror and am able to progress with the dlc just fine, but I'm just wondering about these extra tomes and the essence of willpower that I'm supposed to have access to.

Also, after using any of the tomes purchased from Sandal, my warden is able to learn a 4th specialization.  Is this a bug or is it intended?  Neither Ariane or Finn can learn a 4th specialization, and my warden cant' really do much with it if he's already lv 35.  Even if he uses the one respec tome, he can't unlock it until he respecs, exits the level up menu, then chooses the level option again, but still, he has no talent points left, so all he gets out of the 4th spec are the passive attribute points.

Here's a link to the wiki section related to these mysterious tomes:  http://dragonage.wik...t#Notable_Items

On both my runs through Witch Hunt, I've found the "Use it or Lose it" tome for sure, not sure about the essence o' willpower but I want to say that it was also available. (It's been a while, and things get fuzzy at my age...)

I'm playing on a PC, for sake of comparison.

Thanks for the reply. I must have not realized how reading one section of the index makes others unavailable.  I would just click on all of the index sections at once, then try to go read all of the books.  The only books that don't disappear if you just click on all of the indexes at once are the ones related to the plot.  You have to click on one index, go read the books, then come back and click on another.  That's why I never understood why I couldn't get the tomes and the willpower essence to pop, along with the other items.

I'm still curious about my warden getting access to 4 specializations. Does that happen to everyone or is that some kind of bug with the Xbox 360 version?

I've always got 4 specs - looks goofy on the character sheet as it does not fit in.

I just finished Witch Hunt. To solve how the 4th spec looks on the character screen, I just didn't choose one when I re-spec'ed my warden. He wouldn't have had any talents to spend on it, and he didn't need the stat boosts anyway.

It just doesn't seem like the 4th specialization was meant to be available, and that's why it looks like a bug, as opposed to something that's meant to happen.
