You have to get to the pedistals and deactivate them each time he goes up their. So three turns of him being a balerena shooting fire. To avoid damage get up against his little thing or to take little damage stay by the pedistals. Then wait for the fire to go by and run for the next pedistal and kill the shade things. What's so hard about that?wetnasty wrote...

You asked the same thing 7 times. High end staves are in danger of being so strong with a Primeval Lyrium Rune that auto attacking would be stronger than casting spells. Obviously the devs don't want this.
But really though, I just want the mage to be on par with the other two classes.

one of the devs said during the live play, that they were going to establish an on going threat with the DLC. Don't see how that can work if he's dead... unless he's not really dead.
It's hinted Corypheus possessed the surviving Warden..

This, I never got this. Corypheus is dead. Unless he pulled of a Arch Demon soul jump to the nearest thing tainted I doubt he possesed him. The Idea of Corypheus doing a soul jump is good though, especially as Hawke slayed him not a warden, so his essence wasn't destroyed?

I picked up on that too, but not the first time. The second time I sided with the female Warden. The tone in her voice gave her away. Too bad Hawke didn't pick up on it and slay her right then and there. With that said I don't think Hawke can kill Corypheus.Dave of Canada wrote...

I'm thinking he's like an old god. If anyone but a Warden does the killing then he simply travels through the taint to the next vessel.

I saw few people asking about the Helm from the set - if I recall it is on the last level ( the one before Corypheus fight) to the North East

They only posses darkspawn, I'm betting Old Warden commander was so far into his calling he wasn't "human" but a Darkspawn.
Even Corphy says that, he didn't know what he was which makes sense, he doesn't know what darkspawn are as he hasn't seen them or has no memory of them.
If he was an old god, I'd wonder why he was praying to Dumat.

Damn I just thought about this. What if all the Wardens were possessed from the start? No matter who you pick to side with u loose cuz he gets away in the end. That is if he really does possesses the person who leaves

In the 2nd book grey wardens had there taint sped up, they developed Darkspawn skin. Also brood mothers are Darkspawn they aren't born that way they are made into darkspawn, by drinking and eating tainted flesh. (Yum)
In the end no one knows what happens to grey wardens in the deep roads.

Are they? Meh.
Back to my main point is that the Commander is the most tainted thing in the room. Hence soul jump to him rather than others, thats IF he was possesed by Corphy.

Anyways on the topic of Coryphaeus, I thought it was that he wasn't exactly possessing him, as he was calling all of his darkspawn buddies to help get him out. But because darkspawn lack the proper intelligence, only people who were tainted enough could actually even properly figure out what he wanted and how to achieve the plan he wanted to set in motion.

I'm not sure "most tainted" really matters. Corypheus was in a weak state when he woke up. I'm guessing that after he was beaten he's even weaker. He needed to get away from Hawke, so it makes sense to jump to someone outside of Hawke's party.Ayanko wrote...

Probably this. Still wondering how if he even did, soul jump to someone else. Isn't that an Old God Trick, or a Magistrate Magic.
