How long is the new DLC?
2-3ish hours.
Some replay value too, companions / siblings having something to say throughout the whole experience and it made me wonder what the others would say.

Alright, thank you.

The mage armor is new, I assume the warrior and rogue variant are new as well. I would use it be the main new weapon looks too good with the Champion armor

Still playing the game, so far encountered a bug. I have Anders, Carver, and Varric in my party. I found it hilarious when Anders was like "Do you miss Carver at all..." and he's right beside my character, it's like he disappeared and never returned. I lol'd.
This happened to me too, but with Bethany. I thought the creators had voiced Hawke with a different chick and glitched her mouth movements, cause every time this disembodied voice spoke, I didn't know where it was coming fom. Then at the end when they're having their 'moment' (insert 'awwwwwww's here) Hawke was getting all sentimental with the air. That's when I realised it was Beth she was supposed to be talking too.
InvisiBeth FTW!

I got all the DLC for DA:O and was fairly disappointed in the standard (compared to the excellent DLC for ME2; but I don't include Awakening, which I loved, in the DA:O DLC category). I found Witch Hunt particularly galling - not that the companions weren't cool (as they were), but that it was so short and had no resolution with Morrigan (not for my Warden anyway). After buying all that disappointing content, I promised myself I'd take a wait-and-see approach to DA2's DLC (whereas, previously, all it would take for me to buy any Bioware content was, well, knowledge that it was made by Bioware, whose high standards I had no reason to doubt).
What I enjoyed most about both DA:O and DA2 were the characters and the plot. It was on those fronts that I disliked the DLC for DA:O, since they generally seemed more dungeon-crawly or hack-and-slash, so quick to play through yet recycling so many areas. Now, DA2 already has so much area recycling, I can't imagine Bioware getting away with any more for Legacy. ;-) But, sadly, I don't feel I can rule it out even so.
Anyway, I do not much care about loot. I would just like to know if the story, party banter, and character development are good, and if there isn't much area recycling. Thanks in advance!
