Do you think your siblings might have something different to say depending on which Act you choose to do Legacy in? Or which faction they might have joined? Or whether your follower is Friendly or Rival? Questions abound...Dave of Canada wrote...
Some replay value too, companions / siblings having something to say throughout the whole experience and it made me wonder what the others would say.

Curse you Woo! Getting me curious about all of that!
But as I don't have the time or resources to dedicate to seeing all those outcomes, I'll just wait for Dragon Age wiki to put them up and read it there

That sounds pretty encouraging!Lady_K wrote...
I absolutely LOVED this DLC. It is definitely worth buying. There's no map recycling, the story is riveting, and there's enough challenge to it to make it fun. I love the new armor (my femme mage hawke's looking AWESOME in it). The ending definitely leaves it open for a new story dlc or something for DA3, if bioware does one. Personally I give it a 10/10, five stars.... etc. etc. Bioware obviously listened to the gamers and produced a top notch DLC. Oh and there's definite replay value with this dlc as well.
Aside from now looking forward to some good additional content, I'm most encouraged by the fact that it truly seems they've been listening to all the DA2 feedback, both the good and the bad, and trying to improve on things.
Actually, along those lines, I've just installed patch 1.03, and was quite impressed by the huge list of tweaks they made - not just to correct bugs, but to improve balance and gameplay experience. The sheer number of game balancing adjustments they made suggests a team truly committed to improving the product.
I was somewhat critical of DA2 the first playthrough, but having taken a break for a while and come back a while later, I'm enjoying my second play-through more. Hopefully this DLC will add to that experience.

Also, Malcolm Hawke's voice is the most badass baritone ever.

Thank you! This strongly inclines me towards buying it. I'll wait for a few more reviews, but it seems very promising.Lady_K wrote...

As for the ending I thought it was really great. Emotional and really sad. My mage Hawke has to deal with all kinds of crap, and loosing family like that sucks but that was my favorite part too. The emotional aspect. That and some of the fights. Some were hard but that was part of the good, specially the final boss fight. That was crazy.

The plot was very well developed and the banter between the party was great too. Plus I finally got to get the Grey Warden armor I always wanted

There is some grey warden armor and a crappy weapon plus special gear for Anders, Varric, and sibling if they are along for the ride. I'd say 10/10 relative to DA2, a great improvement.
Fixed that post because seriously, The Hawke's Key just....plain....sucks <_<
Especially if you have the class item DLC pack. This is actually what my original post was going to be about in the first place before seeing this lol.
Seriously, I dont see what's so attractive about this weapon. Not only does it not level with you, but all but one of the "enchantments" are pretty much worthless IMO. And the one that has even a slight use is Armor Penetration. Every other enchantment, worthless.
Now the GW armor, I kinda like that. Like the Rogue GW armor. It's at least better than the Champion set IMO. Dont know about the warrior set because I havent gotten around to another Warrior run yet. The Mage set would be good except for the fact that (on PS3 at least) when the stealth effect kicks in, it randomly decides to cancel any and all of your sustained buffs you currently have on. Barring that, the armor would be pretty nice. So yea, the only thing that sucked about this DLC is The Hawke's Key. Everything else, pretty outstanding
Edit: Dunno why that italicized, that's weird lol

Fist of, it's a great mini-game, well worth the wait as they haven't re-used the locations like in the main game,
For the first time ever your character actually gets involved with the party conversations
This things that bug me though, I couldn't find the helmet for the Grey Warden armour & since finishing Legacy I can't remove the Hawke's key from my inventory unless I sell it.
As for when best in the campaign to do it, I've so far only done it with 1 Hawke & that was in chapter 2 just before the 'All that remains' quest, loved the cameo from Leandra.
Anyway, as a final aover all score I'd give it 8/10
