Well for some reason I am unable to login to the Dragon age servers from DA2 when i start up the game..
so nothing of what I do is updated on this site..
can anyone tell me the reason for that?

What error message are you getting when you try to login?
I was able to set a temporary password as you and login with no issues.
If you have your anti-virus running, have you added the game to its exception list?
Also, have you tried disabling the User Account Control, as this has sometimes been known to causing crashing/connectivity issues?

After downloading the Legacy DLC I had a "Could not connect to Dragon Age Servers" error on starting the game as well.
Then I realised that it was the first time I'd started the game since changing my EA Account password after it was reset following the Bioware hack.
Could that be the problem? The game doesn't say "incorrect login" or anything like that, it just says it couldn't connect.
