For those who played it in Act III....
I had tears in my eyes as the scene before the fireplace happened... Dear Leandra, My heart went out to my Lady Hawke there. And AMAZING VO acting from Jo there.:crying:
Have to admit I wiped a tear away myself, it kind of made up for the whole lack of feeling during all that remains...

Fenris says a lot more without Anders around... he seems to take the bits where Anders would speak if Anders was around (like at some of the viewpoints for example).
Bethany as warden is way more win than Bethany as mage in the circle.
Also Fenris as friendmance seems to be slightly different in tone than as rivalmance. Though it might all have to do with the lack of Anders around!
Aveline is interesting enough and her outrage at the carta is sweet.
Varric and Anders so far are the definite winners for dialogue and extra interaction.
Have 2 characters in act 2, shall give them a shot to see the dialogue with mom still alive.
Also, it seems to me that Fenris+Anders is a fun combo in one sense (when Anders has his freakouts), but mostly not good because Fenris barely says a word with Anders around.
I can't wait to try the Janika then Larius that you all are talking about. Though going Janika all the way with blood mage aggressive Hawke was SUPERB. Hawke told Janika at the end something to the extent "go kill yourself, you undeserving douche". It was priceless.
Other than for the gear, I'm not sure of the point in doing this in act 1. No love interests yet really (that the game would recognize)... no templar/circle or warden business with sibling... I don't know, what's the appeal?

What if the Warden-Commander in question is Sophia Dryden? (possessed, zombified Sophia, who can make a cameo in DA2 - so is she really vanquished?)Yuqi wrote...
I notice they didnt say 'which' warden commander,at the end. Hmnn

At the end of the DLC after you kill Corypheus it seems to be strongly hinted that Larius is now Corypheus's vessel/Corypheus did a body jump into Larius. Who else can do such a thing? Flemeth. It may be a leap, but this suggests to me that Flemeth may be one of the Tevinter magisters as well. It also suggests that the Architect may still be alive even if you killed him in Awakening since he's likely a Tevinter magister.

I guess to do that they would have to retcon her for those of us that killed her, not that that hasn't been done before lol

Considering that Larius had been at the prison for at least 30 years, he may think that the possessed-Dryden is still alive. If demons can communicate across the Fade, or through some other means, then Dryden could have been somehow calling out to the Warden.Macropodmum wrote...

I haven't done a playthrough with Janeka alive at the end yet, so my suggestion may be complete fluff (it may be anyhow, regardless of playthrough), but I found it a sinisterly funny notion that it could be the 'undead' Warden-Commander being referenced.

Sophia is dead in my playthrough, lol.
I think they left it ambigious, on purpouse. There is the warden commander of feralden, and others from other nations. If it was one from another nation, why leave it ambigious

I thought that the DLC was very well done. I brought along Carver, Anders and Varric. I was very surprised to find out that the dead dwarf you found was actually a descendant of Varric's house, Tethras! Although, he didn't really seem to care all that much. >.>
I thought that the end boss was very fun and challenging, even on Casual, since your mates like standing in the fire, guess they've never played WoW.
Hah, you know when I saw the flame walls I went: Well, thank god I raid in WoW.
I managed to have everyone live except Bethany on my 3rd try. Unsure what it was about it; maybe a delay when she casts? But even moving the entire group and clicking on stragglers still had Bethany in the flame for far too long. The third try I even took the walls to the face if I didn't think I could escape in time.
I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more babble about your romantic interest. Other than Varric mentioning I wasn't a virgin and my mother disapproving of my Fenris relationship I got nada

So further updates... Damn, I missed the helmet with my warrior, have to go back! Finally figured out and did the orb battle... EPIC.

ACT 1 the return home to talk to your mom seems to change carvers attitude towards you helping mages he is fine with what ever decision you seem to make. I think it was a huge for him to find out daddy was a blood mage. I expected to get a responce to Dumat quest when getting a amulet but got no responce from my brother. But I do agree no appeal. I wanted Flemeth to make a comment but no change there. if you take merril she is facinated by the dumat quest.

I have to go back and redo it. The only time I got the cowl was when I sided with Janika because it never crossed my mind to go back after clicking the nexus points. Nor did it occur to me to go back after getting that warm orb stuff either... it's a bit of a weird idea to be honest.

a 5.5 is such BS. the content had no glitches, and the party members followed me perfectly in the final boss fight. Some of the critics need to get there facts straight. I think they are just wanting to Bash DA II
Bioware, congrats!!! I hope more DLC will come out (after story DLC, or an expansion would be kick a**).

the helmet/cowl is very tricky to get, at least when you side with Larius. you have to basically backtrack and redo the flame jets puzzle after clicking on all the power nexus things.

I tried to go back with larius but I must have gone to far it did not allow me. He kept saying we have to move foward. I will try again tky for the heads up the game is wierd. I have been working on figuring out an easier way to beat the magister spawn. must be a way to destroy the nexus power ups he gets.

I loved the puzzles in this one for some reason. The rainbow lamps puzzle was fun, but not frustratingly so. I was also digging the banter between the siblings. That seems to be key for getting the most out of it if the sibling is alive for your playthrough.
I hope that they do more meaty dlc content like this in the future. Best of all, it included all new areas to see and explore which this game needs far more of! Keep it coming guys and gals, you are finally on the right track with DA2!
{edit}
I forgot to mention that I also loved the story in this one, and the story revelations found throughout the adventure were very compelling to a lover of the DA lore such as myself. The father's involvement and the thing with Corpyus(? I can't remember how to spell his name) at the end were most welcome moments. Bravo one more time for this add-on.

This of course makes one wonder why they would take on the form of a dragon at all? Did they have a choice as to what form they took? Were they something else in the Fade that was forced into dragon form when they were cast down to the world? Did they then seek revenge on whatever cast them out by charming Tevinter's into worshiping them with the ultimate goal of having those mages attack the Golden City for revenge?
Ah, now I'm confused all over again.
