So lets see started playing at around 11:18am finshed playing at 14:14pm and took a 20min break so in total lasted around 2hrs and 40mins...Overall it was ok DLC not impressed by the armour and item choices given that I am a level 50...Weapon seems ok but again nothing epic about this DLC at all.

When will developers truely give us something epic?? I still think the suggestion I made to create either a DLC or new game where it adds quests which are hard to give the satisfaction of accomplishment in the way of a useable powerful item such as sword or staff or armour is better.

If developers are running out of ideas to truely deliver on a game that makes you go WOW! Then please let me pass on some ideas I have a great idea on what to include and how it should be done.

Overall I give this DLC 7/10 I did all side quests and everything I have the achievements to prove it too.

I think having exploited/cheated your character to level 50 gives you a very skewed take on the overall quality of the DLC.

There's always one isn't there? *Rolls eyes*

Right firstly I beat the game properly I then heard of an *exploit* which yes on my second playthrough I did use, however on my third and fourth and even fifth playthrough I did NOT use any exploit.

Given that the other issue with this game is that everything scales to your character it wouldn't have made any difference whether I was a level 10 or 20 or 40 when doing this Legacy quest as all enemies scale to your level.

So all in all nice try but you fail and I stand by my original take on the DLC.

I agree that the loot wasn't overly impressive. I beat it as a lvl 23 mage but I imagine that nothing is supposed to be better than the Champion set. I enjoyed the DLC a lot, there were some very nice touches, especially the "prologue" bit. I hope Bioware's subsequent DLC is on par with this. Personally, I'd give it five stars.

Do you see how this dlc would change the overall outcome of your previous decisions? Or is it a stand-alone story line?

Is Legacy a separate campaign or does it play off my original DA2? Can I play them spearately?

So wait, you're basing your entire opinion of the DLC on the loot

And the loot wasn't impressive?

Well, good. :) I have hopes that extra effort went into story. *checks more reviews*

I liked it... took me just over two hours, but i thought they'd actually put more story into it than half of DA2 lol. And seeing I used a save file from act 3 with the champion armor and had the blades from the rogue item set I wasn't playing to see what the loot would be lol.
I liked the fact there was plenty of party dialogue, although extra attention from the LI would have been nice, the maps constantly changed, even though it was still basically a dungeon crawl but overall I was very happy. (although hours of gameplay in the description is a bit of a stretch lol)
Hopefully they've learned their lesson from da2 and the DLC will continue to be in this vein well done Bioware for listening to the fans.

lol  I didn't even pay attention to the loot.  Funny how that was the only thing the OP cared about.  I thought the story was quite interesting myself.  I used a save where I had already finished the entire game and brought a warden bethany along with varric and isabela.  Dialog was quite interesting.   It should be even more interestin if you bring Anders along.  I  will bring Anders along next time.

What part in my exposition made you believe you are in need to defend yourself, even insulting me throughout said process?
I think it is rightfully my privilege to roll my eyes on that disproportionate reaction of yours as I was in no way judging you, but merely pointing out a flaw in your perception my dear.

Secondly, the DLC is designed for a player with a level in the early twenties, for the simply reason there is no non-exploit/console way of achieving a higher level up to this point. That is what enemy composition and battlefield layout is designed around. The level-scaling of individual enemies is only a fraction of what overall difficulty is based on. So yes, having a maximum level for which this DLC was definetely not designed for does indeed fog your experience as opposed to a playthrough achieved by conventional means.

Next up is that loot also follows the same reasoning. Although it might scale along, the initial stats on which said evolution is based on is not designed for such high-level characters.

You can stand for whatever you want, but I advise you to refrain from calling someone "fail" when all that failed was your situational comprehension skill.

Thank you

I'd give it 5 out of 5, but I think the end boss is way to hard for mages. And the staff is very nice but isn't as good as I thought it would be. Also it has no rune slots so I'm stuck with nowhere to put the primeval rune.... : /

Agreed, waiting for an epic staff to put the primeval rune into; and does anyone know if the loot is actually meant to scale with what your level is when you pick it up or is it always the same thing?

At level 25, end of act 3 but not the epilogue, i got a staff with 55 attack, then some low single digit bonuses.

Wait.

A warden Bethany can only happen in ACT III. I thought BioWare said that it can be played at any point? How is it possible that there's a warden Bethany if, say a player to choose to play it in ACT II or ACT I?

You can take the normal Bethany (Act1), the Circle Mage Bethany/Warden Bethany (Act2/3) with you. As far as I understood it (can't get the DLC yet (PC users have to wait a bit longer)) they get off-days for participating on your quest. But just this once Image IPB

What are you on?

Nevermind. I missed the part where he loaded the game after he finished the entire game.

A warden bethany can be taken in act 2 or 3.  I used the autosave after the main quest ended.

Hate to interrupt such enjoyable banter, but could we please go back to the topic? For those who already played it - what were your general impressions? Is Bioware on the right track and were you satisfied with any gameplay/storyline improvements that they made?

Lol, I have to go down to Spoiler section since no one seem to play the DLC before they finished the main story to review how much impact the DLC has on the main DA 2 story.

So far it's interesting. All I can do is laugh. Hahahaha.

BioWare really did listen in term of story wise, Still no one mention how much impact it has on main DA 2 story yet but if anything else, the DLC is a good start to go back to Origins story.

I'll wait for more review tho.

So wait just because I used a level 50 character I am the one that fails because of an exploit I used that Bioware left in the game prior to patches basically meaning their quality control i.e. testers did not pick up on this? Wow ok right.

Secondly as I said before it does not matter what level character you use, the outcome, quality of gear and length remains the same so sorry your entire comment and lack of understanding simply causes me to to be amazed at your lack of lateral understanding pure and simple.

But overall the DLC is good but nothing amazing it is missing the wow factor.

Could be a bug. Type in "runscript killallhostiles" to be safe or look around for levers.
