People don't usually pay for that. For the sake of accuracy, you should say you feel like a prostitute. :)

And why are people so uptight about $10? That's less that you'd pay to see a new movie release which will most likely be about 1.5 hours long, AND you get to play the DLC again if you want to. You want to see the movie a second time (legally) you have to pay for another ticket or wait for a potentially more expensive DVD.

Anyway, keep the reviews coming. It's sounding more combat-intensive than I was hoping. Is that balanced well with the story bits?

I just wish that it was longer and had more areas  to go . Hopefully we will get a DLC that is 5 hours long or longer and cost $10 . But right now I feel like I was tricked <_<

But why would you buy that when you can spend that money more mediocre, overpriced DLC?

I liked Legacy.

I spent between 3.5-4 hours on it. I thought the banter was good and I liked the balance between combat and story. True, the loot wasn't the greatest, but then I just sold the items and got lots of money, so I'm good with it.

I don't regret spending the money at all.

Not paying 10 bucks for 2 hours of the same DA2 style crud, sorry but after how atrocious DA2 was, I cant believe that they have the stones to beg for more money for this product, disgusting.

I love the dlc, the party banter was great!
It was a tough decision but am happy with my end choice, bad thing is I couldn't find the blasted helm from the set , yeah I got lost in that place rofl. Love the puzzles, very easy but alot of fun.

Keep them coming bioware, it was a great adventure, Anders as Li is just superb! Oh and I love Sarcastic hawke. I wonder how is fenris as Li.. will it be as good as Anders? I wish.. :)

Prostitutes usually don't pay for the act, either Image IPB

Maybe "I feel like i paid for a stripper and he turned out really tiny"...

but it seems that they've tried to put lot of effort into creating different versions to cover all companions/situations/etc so given that as well as all the newly built areas and such... the price may be actually reflecting the work involved quite well. That's something that won't really show without multiple playthroughs, though.

great dlc and great final fight, thanks bioware =D will and have to play it 3 more times for more party variation (and as far as i see there is one choice which differs part of the dlc right? =D) so replay value here. and for the curious ones it took me 4hours to complete all (on hard, i also missed the helmet ><). and wohoo finishing moves specific for your class, thank you for that =D

So wait, you're basing your entire opinion of the DLC on the loot

And the loot wasn't impressive?

Well, good. :) I have hopes that extra effort went into story. *checks more reviews*

lol  I didn't even pay attention to the loot.  Funny how that was the only thing the OP cared about.  I thought the story was quite interesting myself.  I used a save where I had already finished the entire game and brought a warden bethany along with varric and isabela.  Dialog was quite interesting.   It should be even more interestin if you bring Anders along.  I  will bring Anders along next time.

Oh it's good if you bring Anders along.... won't spoil it for you, but I recommend Anders in your party

This is something I learned in the main story. Always bring the Grey Warden.

Just finished Legacy. Though I generally didn't like DA2 as much as DAO, I must say that I'm impressed with this DLC moreso than most of the DAO DLCs. The maps looked good and were much less repetitive than in DA2. The monster waves were gone and their placement made much more sense. The final battle was exciting and I thought Corypheus as a character was interesting. And surprisingly there seems to be some replay value, in that it seems to have the potential for different things to happen if you bring different party members along (I played my male mage Hawke and brought Carver, Fenris, and Anders with me).

Best of all, instead of the story being side-questy, it actually seemed to integrate into the main narrative so far very well. I couldn't help but feel, though, that I'd seen a lot of this content in Awakening already. Still, I felt like the DLC had substance, so my faith is renewed and I look forward to the next STORY dlc. :)

Ok, finished it, and did the side quests. I felt that the story was a good one, and the party banter, and comments from the other characters were great.

As to the cost of the DLC, ladies and gentlemen, I think 10 bucks was just fine. You'll notice, I think, that everyone had voiced dialog, which is what makes the party banter that people have enjoyed so much possible.

So... Bioware isn't just having the programmers they already have on staff sit down and code up some new levels. They have to get the actors and actresses who did the original to come in and do new voice work.  We could have had cheaper DLC, and no voiced lines.  Would you prefer cheap + subtitles?  I thought not.

One small suggestion, Bioware? Some of the DLC from DA:O allowed one to travel back to the location after completion. Notably, 'Warden's Keep'. It would have been nice to head back to the prison, and see what became of it. Perhaps even pick up a certain fallen prince, and see him returned to his family, so those poor sods could start having their own names ;)

Why? In comparison to the DAO DLC its obviously better than any of those, and in comparison to the ME2 consensus seems to be its better than all bar LOTSB. We were told before it was release that it would be about 3 hours long and its clearly got a lot of content and deals with some of the issues DA2 had.

Too bad for you then.

It was worth the money and very fun. I would rather spend $10.00 on this then see some of the crappy films that cost $8.50 to see just for a matinee.

I had fun with this, and that's bringing Fenris, Sebastian, and Merril along. Also Hawke participated in party banter for the first time while I was running the DLC, not sure if that's something that was added for this one or not, but I was pretty impressed with that.

Going to have to play this again with a different party and more thoroughly though. Maybe when I get around to starting a new game again.

I really liked this DLC. Good length, the story was relevant to what happened in the rest of the game, it seemed to leave the door open for more DLC or something in DA3, and the party banter was awesome. A lot of fourth wall breaking in the banter, and some of it even seemed to be directed at forum comments. Thumbs up!

To some of the above posters: If you didn't buy Legacy, you shouldn't be posting in this thread. If you haven't played the game, how can you have anything to say about it? The intelligence of some people...

That said, I really enjoyed this DLC. It was hands down better than any Origins DLC and the last fight was pretty darn intense. Looking forward to the next piece of DLC.

Well, I finished it, and have to say I enjoyed it. Did it with my level 18 Hawke, Anders, Varric and Bethany. The talk of a 2000 year old Warden prison perturbed me for a bit, but isn't the Keep in Awakening also extremely old, and originally built by the Avvar? It's not unusual for impressive buildings/facilities to be re-used by successor populations (she said, with her archaeologist head on!). As for the dlc, it was entertaining and not exactly easy at the level I chose to do it. Plus my Hawke got to spend more time with Anders. Worth the £6.99 or whatever it was I had to pay for the points!   Image IPB   I'll definitely be replaying it with different party members.  In fact, seeing as I did all my housework yesterday while waiting for it to go live, I might just do that now, while I'm having my morning cuppa!

The DLC was far better than Dungeons and Dragons: DaggerDale which cost 1200msp! And that game lasted around the same time as the DLC did.
However I think 560msp would have been better priced for this DLC as 800msp was pushing it without being able to see how the DLC was prior too purchase.

But all in all hopefully Bioware use the money we have given them for this DLC to make another one which is bigger and better and maybe comes out sooner than 4months?
