The lore made it good. And the new darkspawn where actually a challenge. The ones with the shields annoyed the hell outa me, but I wouldnt have it any other way.

The Alpha Genlocks were fun, especially with their glass backs. They went down really fast.

Would you care to elaborate on 'quest-related'? I feel like that's a fairly ambigious term.

I'd be more inclined to say one that's a little bit more tied to the story. "Quest-related"?
Unless the more sidequests you do, the different the effect on the overall story of the DLC... would have been nice if doing certain challenges had a larger impact (eg. performing a [spoiler] makes last boss react differently, it seems a little bit silly that [spoiler] has no lasting effect beyond the immediate challenging fight)

Erm... speaking of names... how come that Malvernis secret boss' name is an anagam for 'Silverman'? Is that a coincidence too?

What's the deal with Malvernis anyway? He's a shapeshifting mage so... maybe he's Morrigan's demon child!!!1!!!111!!

Well it's pretty straight forward quest related in the sense of instead of giving us weapon and armour pack DLC's I would prefer DLC where it had quests tied to it rather than just extra equipment.

Ok, finished it, and did the side quests. I felt that the story was a good one, and the party banter, and comments from the other characters were great.

As to the cost of the DLC, ladies and gentlemen, I think 10 bucks was just fine. You'll notice, I think, that everyone had voiced dialog, which is what makes the party banter that people have enjoyed so much possible.

So... Bioware isn't just having the programmers they already have on staff sit down and code up some new levels. They have to get the actors and actresses who did the original to come in and do new voice work.  We could have had cheaper DLC, and no voiced lines.  Would you prefer cheap + subtitles?  I thought not.

One small suggestion, Bioware? Some of the DLC from DA:O allowed one to travel back to the location after completion. Notably, 'Warden's Keep'. It would have been nice to head back to the prison, and see what became of it. Perhaps even pick up a certain fallen prince, and see him returned to his family, so those poor sods could start having their own names ;)

Story is decent - party banter is ok - but $10.00 for barely 2hrs of content. Definately not worth the money. Since they have programmers on staff - then they can add more content to make it worth the cost.

Well gears 1 and 2 cost how much in the USA on launch new? $60? Campaign on normal lasts around 6-7hrs at most? So if I work out the math here $10 x 6hrs = $60 give or take so $10 for 2.5hrs is not bad. However in the UK we pay around £8 which is around $14 so you have no reason to get that upset. But £8 for 2.5hrs is still cheaper than paying £40 for a full game that lasts 6hrs.

But Bioware doesn't mean you can do a sneaky one since ive given some valid figures lol!! Hopefully the next DLC is bigger and better I dont mind paying more for really good DLC.

$10 for 6 hours of content for me and thats just 1 playthrough of 4-5. For comparison purposes DA2 itself took me 64 hours.

Plus the programming is the least of their costs, they have to hire all the VAs back.

Hmm... I cleared the DLC in just under 2hrs. Did it also take you more then 30hrs to beat DA2?

True there isn't that much in terms of variety with DAII, DA1 had a lot more to offer but I have faith in Bioware I am sure their third installment will be fully packed just like ME3.

The way I see it here is what I think Bioware are doing:

First game see what gamers think
Second game try something a bit different see what gamers think
Third game try to combine what gamers are saying for both previous games and create a third epic title.

I can't speak for him but I'd like it to be somewhat more related to the main story. I really did like Legacy but I wasn't a fan of how it was introduced (through the monument). Perhaps something more like Hawke gets ambushed sometime during his/her adventure and a letter or bounty note drops for Hawke to investigate. Anyway, just something that can more smoothly introduce the DLC.

Yeah having to go up to the statue was rather odd to engage a story related quest line, seems like the developers rushed things on that one lol I kid I kid. Should have been a letter or as the person above stated ambushed say by the carta and they find a note which then leads them to the quest line.

True, clicking on a statue in your house to 'reminisce' seemed a strange way to start a DLC. It was never really explained why the DLC was a memory rather than a real time encounter. Odd, but it's a great piece of DLC nevertheless.

Just played Legacy and it just made my frustration about not playing my Warden or a Warden in general even bigger.

I mean... just look at that awesome prison they build to bind that awesome ancient evil with all that awesome background informations and all the awesome wardens in their awesome armor!

I was like "Why am I playing that punk Hawke? Just let me be my warden, or a warden again. Please?"

I agree that Wardens are super cool, but I rather not be a warden. Your options are kinda limited that way...

Why does it matter? The Warden would be doing the exact same things as Hawke, except (s)he'd be mute and slowly dying / going crazy thanks to the taint. No thanks.
