No, I've rewatched the shows I tuned into as a kid and young adolescent. They're still better than most of the stuff they show on TV.

Would I say kids shows are as great now as they were even a decade ago? Hell no. But suck? Universally suck? That is harder to agree with. That aside, your definition of kids shows is unclear. Are we talking programs geared toward toddlers, children yet to reach puberty, or teens? All of the above?

Are you kidding? I was watching every Hey Arnold! yesterday on Youtube and I missed shows like that, being a kid has nothing to do with it.
Oh, how I loved that show.

"Clone Wars" is kind of dumb, but I have seen much worse.
Are you kidding? That show just gets better over time.

Clone Wars is really dumb show and kinda boring too. I miss great shows like Avatar: Last Airbender.
While some episodes are pretty dull, there are others that make up for it. It at least takes itself seriously. I agree about the Last Airbender though. That WAS a good show and I hope the sequel follows in it's footsteps.

With Seagloom on the Clone Wars though. But as to that I think it has alot to do with PCness, and lower budget standards. Like look at GI Joe. Have that on today and you'ld have alot of parents up in arms, that the little snow flakes are learning to fight or some ****. Just like some of them get pissy if the kids play tag.
Take into account the great need alot of networks have for "profit Margins" then you get **** sold to the lowest bidder. While more popular shows that cost money get scraped. Spongebob is an exception to this, but I feel thats as the story is largely chasing the same people that watched in 9-10 years ago, plus a few add ons now.

I bought Batman Beyond DVDs because I loved that show so much.
Still love it.
I think networks just don't care. They think their audience are a bunch of retards so why put any effort into it. I remember being excited to wake up on saturday and watch cartoons. Last time I had it on saturday morning I wanted to bash my brains in with a frying pan.

Most kid shows in the 80's and 90's aren't really better. Don't be swayed by any feelings of nostalgia.
Batman the animated series
Superman
Ren and Stimpy
Batman Beyond
Animaniacs.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Duck Tales
Darkwing Duck
Chip N Dale
The Tick
just a few of the ones that stack up today.... Nostalgia has nothing to do with it.
