Hi. I am totally new to the forum thing, so pls, bear with me. Hope this is the right place to post this...
I have the game (couple of rough edges, but still awesome) and have a problem. Borrowed a copy once, and at one point, the joint froze on me. No big deal, happens sometimes. Retried several times...no go. Stops at same point, every time.
I give the game back, few months later, obtain another copy, thinking it was the copy of the game that was giving me the freeze. I upload the last save I have from when I played before, and whammy. Freezes at exactly the same point in the game. (I dunno if it matters at what point the game freezes, but will put in details at the end of this)
I hope there is some way around this particular problem, because it happened to freeze at a point where there is only one path to follow...no alternate routes. It had froze before at other points, but I was able to circumvent the actual "place" it happened. The part that is holding me up, however, is a non-negotiable progress point, right before a door. It will not progress.
Please, advice offered will be greatly appreciated. I can see by the dates of these posts that I am a latecomer to all the jazz of the original release, but don't forget the latecomers!!
(The freeze point occurs on the Krogan misson, while fighting the blue suns. It is right after the meeting of the test-tube krogan, the one who has been alive for all of a week. He lets me in the structure, and I proceed past the two enemies, and the ever spawning krogans who come after. After the Krogans, there is a staircase, to a room with sniper upgrade, power cells, and medi gel. Out the door, I beat the enemies on the other side of the bridge, and proceed along side walkway. Come to room with multiple enemies...I cash their tickets, and snipe some other enemies in the distance, through a no-door portal that leads to a open ceiling area that looks like a balcony overlooking something below. There is a door along this balcony, green lit, waiting. The freeze happens right when I am crossing the threshold to this area with the door. It happens at every point of this threshold (I have tried all the spots), and no way to get around it. Please help!)
