I'm not sure if I should post this here, but I figured because you have some connections with Atari you might be able to help. Heres something that I posted on their forums but haven't got an answer yet. Guess I should be more patient but I noticed the response time on these forums is pretty good.

Hey I want to download Storms of Zehir, but I'm a little apprehensive. What sort of support is there for downloading PC games? Say something happens to my computer and it gets wiped out do I have to pay to download the game? Is there a way of not just having it simply stored on your computer but somewhere else as well?
It's alot to cheaper to download but just feel uncomfortable not having the game in my hands.

I didn't purchase from Atari but from Direct 2 Drive. The copy I got from them can be burned to disk, and you can redownload it later if you want (I have). I also own a copy from Steam, which works like any other Steam game. hth

Well Direct2Drive doesn't have SOZ on it's own just platinum, same with Steam. No reply on the forum yet but I want this game like yesterday so I'm going to DL. To buy the actual CD is relatively expensive.

The entire package is currently selling for $20 (or often less) that's the OC, MotB and SoZ. That may be cheaper than SoZ by itself.

When Amazon were still selling SoZ it was a bit cheaper (and MotB is like a couple of pounds or dollars wherever you get it from) but now it's like $40 on the US site and unavailable otherwise. Just an example. The Platinum version actually works out cheaper than just SoZ unless there's a hidden black market SoZ shop I don't know about (it's like they stopped shipping out SoZ) - I'm thinking of getting the Plat version and just shelving my old NWN2 copy 'cos it's cheaper than buying the expansions alone. Don't know if I like Steam, though, never really used it.
Actually I think Steam is technically under no legal obligation to keep verifying games or to remove the need to verify them when you install, so they're almost as dodgy as Atari (Atari obviously winning the untrustworthiness prize just because they messed us about so much). :-)

I live in the UK so postage is going to be expensive.
