I have personal preferences

so do other people and I respect that

but that does not warrant someone throwing mud at Meer when he has done so much in ME1 and 2

For the Biotic God, you... didn't hear it?

For Mordin, I didn't and won't watch the e3 demo, so I guess I can't say about that one.

Haters gonna hate... I've always taken that as meaning something is beyond your comprehension.

We're quite content with Meer.   For me personally, I'm starting to get Hale/Steve Blum fatigue, since it feels like I hear their voices everywhere I go in alot of games and shows.  Variety is the spice of life.

My lovely, the point of the thread is easy for anyone to discern. 

"Rawr, my voice actor taste is better than yours! Bow down to my superior tastes or I will write literally pages of text telling you why you're wrong! I shall not rest this burden until all the world understands which voice actor is better!"

Secondly it does not matter how much he has done. He does Shepard well, as you can see he is appreciated. Keep hating, it does not matter

Because BioWare has screwed FemShep until now and this is their way of  "1-uping" MaleShep/Meer fans.

Just my guess, though.

Ugh, the 'payback' thing. Reminds me when someone suggested they should completly ditch Sheploo for ME3 promo because FemShep wasn't promoted before.

I always think of Hale as Bastila, who was my favourite of the cold aloof BW chicks ever, which doesn't help.
But I just think that Meer is much better as a Renegade, which I think is always the most fun, but Hale is better at the calm, reassuring Paragon lines. I always think her bad-ass lines sound forced somehow. She's still great and all, I'm just a fan of Meer. Also, I agree with some of the early posts, the undeserved Meer hate has really died down, and he's starting to get the appreciation he deserves on these boards

Bah, you don't know what you're missing, but I guess it'd be terrible to switch VA's for maleShep now.

Everyone has their own preferred actor. There's no need to be hating or disrespecting each other or the actors who are just doing their jobs for YOU. I wish we all could do the mature thing and recognize and respect that but I keep seeing the opposite on this forum. It's really sad. I'll just hold out hope that one days things MIGHT improve.

and obviously Bioware would have picked such an abysmal voice actor for the main role in their game because they have no idea how to pick good VAs....they are utterly tasteless and incompetent right? I mean you believe he is possibly the worst VA ever Dragon, and your word apparently is dogma. It is so self evident and absolute that there is no other possible explanation. They probably didn't even audition...they just looked at Meer and said "oh yeah that fellow has lovely eyebrows. Let's give him the main role in our new multi million dollars project on the spot".

I have probably played male and female shepard an equal number of times (or close to it) and while my canon is a male I don't really have a preferance of one over the other. As fas as their .VA's go I think both of them do a good job and there are situations where Meer sounds better and other situations where Hale sounds better but overall I don't really find one better than the other.
