I like em both. They both have distinct speaking styles though, so your just going to have to live with different sheps when you compare to eachother.

Hale slightly over Meer, both are good, but they are not Ash Sroka good.

Its closer comparison between Hale and Meer than to DAII's where Lady Hawke, Jo Wyatt, completely dominates the male Hawke actor.

And what do you know, both FemShep and Lady Hawke VA's are in SWTOR as the Trooper and Imperial Agent.

Prefer Meer. Better pre-battle speeches. I find it very interesting how completely opposite people's opinions on this topic can be. Hale always seems too tightly controlled to me. And yet I know people find Meer to be boring and monotonous. I do not.

I like both, Meer tends to stay cool in VA where as Hale puts more emotion in, it's my opinion they fit their characters.

I'm late to the thread but here is my take on it, I found Meer to be better overall. The way I see it is that in number one he is a soldier straight and simple but as number 2 rolls around doubt begins settling in Shepards mind as to wether they will actually win, thus the more emotional parts at the end of LOTSB. However with Hale she seemed to be too extreme in all her dialogue but I only played as her for part of number 2. Just my opinion.

Both voice actors for Shepard did an acceptably good job, but I personally prefer Meer's, at least in ME2. ME1...it's about even.

I like Mark Meer's voice and stop thinking people hate/ dislike his voice because bunch of fans in BSN make complains about it. BSN doesn't represent entire fan-base; only a fraction of it.
