Mark Meer's voice-acting is one of the reasons that made me love Mass Effect in the first place. He's most definitely badass, you guys should bow to his greatness right nao!

Hale is good and all but Meer improved much more after Overlord, LotSB and Arrival. I really think Meer is better than Hale now.

Huh? I wandered what this was about... Im more shocked you like femsheps voice than anything... I never liked her voice... I like Meer's. Always have. The new FemShep design makes me dislike the femshep VA even more cause I dont feel she fits at all.

I like Meer. Hale has a cruddy deep inflection she does for FemShep and I find it annoying and off-putting. Not her best by a long shot.

Every time I hear manShep, it feels reinforced that he HASN'T really improved, and ME1 wasn't exactly a high point. What really gets me is that he only goes into "talentless hack" mode when voicing Shepard. He did an awesome job with that one Volus in Samara's recruitment mission and with the Vorcha.

Hale is good, but Meer's deadpan delivery matches the personality of my professional-soldier Shepard better. It's also helped by the fact that he's not as prolific a voice-actor. Every time I hear Hale, I'm imagining one of her other characters, where as when I hear Meer, he's Shepard and no-one else. I have the same problem with Liara's voice, where she always sounds like Lightning from FFXIII to me.

I never had a problem with Mark Meer's voice acting either. Personally, I think it even better than Hale's: She sounds vaguely pissed off most of the time, and yeah, that's what Shepard is most of the time, but the sensitive moments come off more tender with Meer than with Hale. I listened to hugging Tali with both of them just now, and Meer's was a lot better.

Although I prefer Mark Meer's acting over Hale's its all a matter of preference at the end of the day you really can't go wrong with either one.

Hale is much better but I'm not saying Meer is bad. Meer is pretty good as a VA. What people are trying to do is compare a BMW M3 rto a Bugatti Veyron. Both are awesome cars. Both have their ups and downs. We all have our own preferences. Performance wise however, Veyron's gonna win out.

I might prefer Hale, but Meer does a very fine job, and I think he's going to shine in ME3. .
