BioWare, do something about the Junk Items already. Please make the Junk Items have a purpose other than wasting inventory space.

I see this come up a lot on this forum and elsewhere. Am I really the only one who realizes you can sell junk items to vendors/merchants? Collect the items during a quest, then sell it all off. It's basically the same as looting coin, you just have the extra step of having to sell it. So it's not entirely useless... you do earn coin from collecting and selling it.

It would be better just to give us some coins. Legacy is horrible with it and you can fill your BP up 2-3x's. If you go early before getting any BP upgrades you fill up right away.

Never had a problem with filling up my backpack, with or without Legacy. Heck, even if you do collect a lot of junk during that quest (Legacy), there's a storage chest about halfway through. Just ditch the stuff in there that you don't want or need and continue on your merry way. When you finish the quest, take the stuff from the chest and sell it. Problem solved. Mind you, I get what you're saying though--all the extra steps to get rid of it is kind of needless. If we can just sell it for coin anyway, it may as well just be lootable coin to begin with.

It's a good dlc. I like the different conversations and that you can do it any time and have a slightly different story.

That said, I play on casual and I've died at the end battle a lot with my warrior. I end up using whoever is my mage in order to finish it. That' is a bit aggravating, since if I wanted it to be really difficult I'l play on a harder level.

But on the whole, it's enjoyable. Really glad everyone has banter and some of them were pretty funny and/or sweet (Bethany and Sabastian). Actually this kind of stuff makes me want to play it over and over with different companions.

Nope I get bemused by it as well. They're flavor items instead of giving the player boring old coins. The same applies to getting armor and weapons that your character can't use because of his/her class.

A delete all junk button similar to the sell all junk button would have worked. But alas.

They could have used more flavor...maybe some pizazz too. They all look the same like tiny trashcans with no descriptions. Whatever. sigh

I finished Legacy earlier today and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I really appreciated the little stuff like hiring on all of the voice actors of party members to record dialogue for the quest which is almost unheard of in BioWare DLC. I'm used to party members being silent during DLC, so that was a real treat. I also appreciate the fact that significant effort was obviously made to address the most common criticisms of DA2.

Thank you very much, Dragon Age team! Please keep making DLC of the same quality as Legacy!

A good DLC. Could be improved a bit more, for example, more difficult boss fight because I felt Corypheus was way too easy, even on nightmare, but it was an improvement nonetheless. My only problem was how the DLC begins, all we get is Hawke explaining their attack from the carta dwarves, I would have preferred to actually seen it because it would make a good scene with the sibling from act 1 or with/without and LI in act 2/3.

I thought Legacy was incredible and better than the main game. I hope this becomes the example used for the next DLC of Dragon Age and even the next installment, Dragon Age III. The storytelling and environments were definitely awesome as well.

I don't think I have one gripe about Legacy, but give me three years or so, I'm sure I'll come up with something by then.

Played it twice now. Both post campaign. Once with a hawke mage and once with a rouge. Also two different parties. I do think it is better than the whole. Better than any other quest in the main game. I will say I completely wrecked both big bosses. A lot of people complained about the difficulty of them even on normal but it wasn't that hard really once you understood what you had to do. I actually had an easier time with my rouge than my mage. Everyone died but I was able to finish him off myself with a little thinking. I'm not a big fan of pull your hair out boss fights. I think they were both adequate on normal. Overall I give it an 8/10. As far as DA DLC it is probably better than most of the DLC for origins. Although I really like the Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar about the same. If they can keep putting out DLC like this I don't have an issue spending the money.

Legacy was incredible and i enjoyed every minute of it, played it 3 times already. However i was alittle mad that the mage warden armor looks the same as rogue, i kinda wanted it to look like the one Beth wares. Anyway other than that great DLC

For those who have played Dragon Age II; finished the game and saved(as many times as you did) and want to play through as a totally new character...DO NOT SELECT NEW GAME!!! AS IT WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR PREVIOUSLY SAVED DATA!!!

One would think that there would be better file management to facilitate multiple replays while still preserving saved data; especially on the next gen consoles.  I don't mind replaying; but i do think deleting the previous saves without even a warning message prior to doing so is just so "old"

Did anyone else experience this; or am i just too "old" to have expected something that was common in older games tobe remedied on today's gaming consoles.

Share your experiences with me...Image IPB

Legacy was a remarkable response to the fans who had distaste for DA2's direction. It blended more of Origins and DA2's elements in an effective manner. The battle waves were executed more well done than DA2. The secret boss fight was an excellent easter egg for the die-hards from Origins. And I loved the story that accompanied this DLC. I enjoyed watching the ending at Hawke's mansion, as it proved to be one of the more memorable of the series.

Feedback for Dragon Age Legacy:

Seeing the many positive comments of Dragon Age Legacy, I bought it as well, looking forward to playing what many has hailed as the best DLC in the DA franchise. Coming from the skepticism and negativity having played DA2, I must say that I wasn't disappointed.

As a Bioware fan and their games, this is written here to give our developers inputs so that they can go on to create the very best story-based franchise, the never-ending quest to improve and excel on what is to become well-beloved game universe.

The good:
- Much improved, fresh and well-designed environments that are not repetitive even once. I like the way the whole tower that housed Corypheus was designed. You see a sight at the top of the tower at the beginning as you reach the Vimmark Mountains, fueling the curiosity of what manner of creature this grand tower could be housing. You then need to go down to the abyss to the tower's base, along the way finding out more clues and adding more intrigue to the story, and then finally reaching to top, where you saw at the very beginning, for the story's revealing conclusion. Fantastic.
- Variety of combat. Enemies don't spawn out of no where. More thought out combat scenarios integrated into the environments. Archers ambushing you atop balconies, brontos rampaging about in the open space below, carta dwarfs luring you into traps and disadvantageous combat positions, new creatures in the form of Genlock and Hurlock alphas that has their own unique behaviors, etc. The final boss fight was one of the best Bioware had done in a long fight. There was even a nice mix of puzzles within the tower.
- Dripping with lore. Honestly the real reason why I believe Legacy is a good DLC is because of the background story established way back in Origins and DA2 that builds up to the moment when it was revealed that Corypheus was in fact one of the 'you know who.' Not only does it confirms some of what the Chant of Light has been preaching all along, it was raised new questions of their accuracy and the very fabric that the DA universe is based upon. Even the high-level story arc of DA has progressed significantly due to this event - we now know that a powerful ancient evil is on the loose, a likely harbinger of no-good that is to come. Well, in order for the DLC to have such powerful story impact, the lore and high-level story itself must be built with this in mind, and therefore it is IMO a difficult quality to replicate for the other DLCs. This is not to mean that Bioware will never be able to reach a DLC of this quality, nor does it mean they shouldn't try to surpass it. It just means Bioware needs to push themselves that much harder to keep up with ever growing expectations for DA now that they have set a new standard of DA DLC.
- Nice party banters, nice conversations as always. Good humor and variety. Inclusive of all party members. Nice touch with the family connections. In a genre that's filled with cliches about ancient evil awakening and the protagonist trying to save the world, it's nice to see that Hawke's intentions isn't always about stopping evil but also about trying his best to live a normal life for himself and family, in a hard world.
- Well done characters - Larius and Corypheus.

The bad:
- This is a more of a problem with Dragon Age 2 itself, the combat animations are just too fast, 'actiony', acrobatic and broke the sense of immersion for me.
- While the environments are 100% fresh, some art assets remain noticeably repetitive. For example, the warden symbol/shield hung on every wall at every level of the tower, the same columns, the same etc etc. Here's hoping for more variety of assets, not in the high-level area design sense, but down to the individual art piece sense.
- Environment/art can be a wee bit too ... clean. It doesn't give an impression that this is a lived in, ancient place. The dark roads, the tower corridors etc are remarkably clean. Corypheus, however, looks pretty badass and beautifully detailed.
- While Larius was well-characterized, the same cannot be said for his counterpart rival Janeka. She's what I call the 'cookie-cutter' character who is just another copy-pasted person with typically sterile facial features and non-distinct characteristics. And we've seen many of those in DA and ME already.

All in all this is a good, solid DLC. Bioware had listened to their fans' complaints and deserves praise.

However, this cannot erase the debacle that is DA2 IMO. There's still A LOT that can be improved; there always is. Here's hoping the DA team never rest on their laurels one bit but forever give their very best to make better and better sequels/DLCs, never falter in this upward trend.

Excellent and very well implemented DLC, didn't feel tacked-on at all, loved learning about the Hawke family's past.

I like to add further feedback on the good of Legacy:

- Nice easter egg in the form of Malvernis
- Very nicely done cutscenes in the form of Larius. Camera angles, nice voice acting, well-written dialogue that served to build up the anticipation for the finale.

The bad:
- Grey Wardens are supposed to be some of the best, elite soldiers in Thedas. In the book The Calling, we see very different and mixed characters in that Warden squad. Plus their attire was supposed to be dirty from all the traveling as well as giving a sense of 'rag-tag'. What we see in Legacy, those Wardens were quite the piece of cake relative to other enemies fought throughout DA2. They wore tidy and clean standard issue Warden armors that doesn't really portray the same fell Duncan for example in DAO gave.

Further points:

The Good:
- Nice party comments to accompany new sightings/discoveries
- Nice creepy moments like a deepstalker appearing in front and then disappearing in the corner, or a genlock alpha hiding behind a shield and then rushing forward when you close in least expecting it, pride demon appearing in a flash when you unlock the seals
- Nice environmental lighting effects
- Nice 'viewpoint' scenes, helps build up tension leading up the the finale and keep players focused on the story/goal

The Bad:
- Dislike the huge 2-handed swords the size of a human. Dislike that staffs and weapons magically hanging on the characters' back. Please add scabbards, or make the staffs a walking stick please.
- UI looks like it fit into some cartoony MMORPG rather than the serious/fantasy/medieval setting
- Enemies exploding in a mass of blood - need I say more
- Bodies magically disappearing to the ground when they are killed/bodies looted.
- There are still plenty of loot like 'Stale biscuits' that serves as nothing more than extra gold (when sold). Now they aren't even icons to show that it's a biscuit, just some text. What's the point? Isn't it better to give items that has some use or perhaps provide lore?
- Please give the option to turn off persistent spell/buff effects, or make better spell effects visually, some of these like Arcane Shield is just an eye sore
- Nightmare difficulty, the difficulty doesn't come from the intelligence of enemies, but rather the sheer amount of resistance to damage they have, DA2 was worse than this, but Legacy still sometimes retain this frustrating characteristic.

Late to the party: before I read the post and it influences me, let me say that Legacy was the best DLC for the Dragon Age franchise so far and definetly worth my money. It was fun and changelling without ever become punitive and I like a lot the changes you made to encounter design and the general tactical vibe of the DLC. In terms of storytelling, it was all very polished and while the roleplaying was not intended to be deep (it's a DLC afterall) the dungeoun crawling adventure was fascinating and immersive. Maybe, even becase of the effort you put on the environment, the setting and the charachterization of the various players. It was all done in detail and with love and attention.

Honestly, if you would have done DA2 with the same care, the reception would have been very different.

Played it 3 times now. Its fun how it changes depending on character and party. Had a tough time with my warrior sword and board hawke, Fenris, Sebastian and Merrill. No healing spell at all. But got through it. Presented a different challenge each time. Pretty impressed.

Legacy was great. I just find frustrating that you can not return to it once you complete it, which would have been nice if, like you, someone missed some piece of unique armor or equipment.

This is one of those very curious things BioWare tend to do: preventing travelling to certain areas and locking doors and gates in other areas that could otherwise have been used to much greater effect.
Sure, there is the argument (like with the Legacy locations) that the campaign is finished so there's no need to return there, but why not just keep it open for those who want to travel there for whatever reason?

BioWare, please learn to relax - leave the doors and gates unlocked so people can explore!

Kenta, ask the modding community about this, I'm sure it can't be too hard to open up the Legacy locations after the campaign has been completed. I'd use such a mod as well...

Problem is, I play a console version, PS3 in fact. Not as easy to mod as PC, though I would ask for PC users nonetheless.

I concur with the other posters who have said that Legacy is the best developed DLC that Bioware has produced for DA. Sure, it has its failings (repetitious design elements), but it was overall well executed (good story and voice acting) and well worth the relatively small cost attached. Credit to Bioware for a solid effort to improve DA2.

Now that was a fun DLC. It had everything we would want in a quest, puzzles, interesting and new baddies (the darkspawn now look pretty scary!), new dialogue (I even noticed that if you click on your party during different areas, they say different things! This is a plus), a hint of mystery and a more compelx map.

This DLC feels like it was made with some love.

I keep losing the journal entries for current quests! And now I can't access Dumat's altar!! This is becoming increasing frustrating!!!
