Beaten it once, reloaded and tried two out of supposedly four ending variations.
My party consisted of a level 25 Mage Hawke, Varric, Grey Warden Carver and romanced Merrill.
Was imported from a post-game save.
I loved the DLC, I'd consider it superior to Lair of the Shadow Broker (though I didn't care much for it, I know it's the "standard" other DLC will be compared to). Not only do you have the DLC story, the companion banter ties it together really well.
Small list of things, as I can't rant tl;dr posts.
++ Companion banter, it really made the DLC experience feel as if it was tied to the main game.
++ The dungeon aspect, puzzles / encounters and mini-bosses throughout make it as if you're actively progressing towards the end. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Deep Roads in Origins, this felt like a more positive version of the same thing.
+ Exploration, it was rather fun and I know I missed a lot of things. Giving it a better go when I try again.
+ Combat has improved, I loved DA2's combat but the whole thing about tougher encounters and more varied enemies (the shield genlocks are a pain) really drive the point home.
+ The last boss encounter was probably the funnest encounter in all of the DA series.
+ The lore / story was really interesting.
+ Yay Grey Warden armor.
- I didn't notice much difference by siding with the different people in the ending, though maybe siding them in a different order might change stuff.
- Friend is encountering a lot of bugs, stopping her from completing it.
