I'm not all the way through it but I'm really enjoying it so far. It has a cool/creepy feel to it. My one gripe is the loot is kind of lame so far. Nothing I've picked up has been worth replacing the stuff I have from the main game and weapon/armor DLC. Hopefully the drops get a lot better but I'm really enjoying the story at least.

Well, I ended up with much better armour (stats!), but I cried a bit, because I liked the look of my rogue Champion armour soo much better... The new armour is nice, but not really dashing, I thought.

Yep, a new armour set and a new weapon, all Hawke-exclusive though

New items, new armor for Hawk....

I didn't pay attention to their statistics. Hawk has already enough weapons, enough armor and item. ( post- campaign )

My main character is a rogue and I love the Champion armor myself. I'm looking forward to seeing the new armor your talking about.

*rolls eyes* Or maybe they are people who don't usually post but enjoyed the DLC enough to do so? Or they have posted, but not oftn enough for you to recognize them? Other possible theories of course.Image IPB

Very first impressions from a post-campaign save...

The variations in dialogue work right from the start. The carta fights have not been pushovers, but the brontos went down rather quickly.

You can still sense when a fight is coming, but there was one room where, instead of a wave of fighers, they surprised me all at once. Well done.

A tactical complaint is that Hawke would often drop off a 2nd-tier elevation, or attack a foe stationed on a battlement while Hawke is still on the ground. I would then have to reposition Hawke back to where I wanted her. The fights were still winnable, so no major harm done here.

If (like me) you like DA2, you will enjoy the gameplay. Still, I get the sense that however you feel about DA2, this DLC will only amplify that feeling. But frankly, that's what successful DLC should be doing, and this one does it well.

New Weapons = yes.
New armor = yes.

Argh. You people are making it sound like I should pick this up, as it seems to address most of my core grivances with DA2.

Get the item packs if you want companions exclusive stuff because that's only there you'll get them.

I thoroughly enjoyed this DLC. I'm at the end, and it took me a good 3 1/2 hours to complete on Normal. I loved the party banter, the new characters, and of course the lore. I think I did everything except connect those pillars with the color-line things, I gave up. I will probably try to do that with another character.

the order you should get them in is boots > gloves > helm > chest if that helps

I never found the helm, probably the reason I didn't get that one achievement. I was probably distracted by the scenic views ;)

I've only gone through it once thus far, but there was a Varric specific necklace and a quest that was loosely  related to/relevant to him.

Beaten it once, reloaded and tried two out of supposedly four ending variations.
My party consisted of a level 25 Mage Hawke, Varric, Grey Warden Carver and romanced Merrill.
Was imported from a post-game save.

I loved the DLC, I'd consider it superior to Lair of the Shadow Broker (though I didn't care much for it, I know it's the "standard" other DLC will be compared to). Not only do you have the DLC story, the companion banter ties it together really well.

Small list of things, as I can't rant tl;dr posts.
++ Companion banter, it really made the DLC experience feel as if it was tied to the main game.
++ The dungeon aspect, puzzles / encounters and mini-bosses throughout make it as if you're actively progressing towards the end. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Deep Roads in Origins, this felt like a more positive version of the same thing.
+ Exploration, it was rather fun and I know I missed a lot of things. Giving it a better go when I try again.
+ Combat has improved, I loved DA2's combat but the whole thing about tougher encounters and more varied enemies (the shield genlocks are a pain) really drive the point home.
+ The last boss encounter was probably the funnest encounter in all of the DA series.
+ The lore / story was really interesting.
+ Yay Grey Warden armor.
- I didn't notice much difference by siding with the different people in the ending, though maybe siding them in a different order might change stuff.
- Friend is encountering a lot of bugs, stopping her from completing it.

I really enjoyed this DLC; the banters, the story, the maps were all great. I especially liked being thrown for a loop with Malcolm's involvement, and the very end revelation.
My gripes are only two things:1) I imported a post-campaign save, and from the livestream Q&A it sounded like Legacy would be set post-campaign if you did so (ie, a certain person is unavailable because he's dead, or a certain other person is unavailable because he stormed off.) But it's not, since Hawke is instead still in his estate and not running around Thedas. I really wasn't sure how it would work post-campaign, anyway, but I was kind of hoping... :? Ah well. It's minor.

2) Hope this doesn't count as a spoiler: A certain someone summoning shades. Really? Nobody thought this was really OOC for him to do? I understand he was not exactly in the best state of mind (when is he), but one of his main points is that he hates demons. It bugged me quite a bit.

Over all, I really liked it. Thanks, Bioware!

I've not finished it yet but I'm very impressed so far. The battles are challenging and much more tactical and fun, great new banter and interesting story. I've only stopped playing because I'm tired and will lessen my enjoyment by continuing. Really looking forward to picking it up again tomorrow.

Just downloaded Legacy for the PC plus the recommended patch. Now DA doesn't work! The opening screen loads but nothing happens when I click play. It will uninstall though.

Help!

Stroud died? :S

Oh and since someone is bound to ask this... The Warden did get a brief mention that changes depending on a certain decision in DAO. Though I don't think they're mentioned at all if Anders isn't in the party.
