I enjoyed it. I think the Hawke character fits really well with this type of episodic format. It played like a really memorable episode of a TV show. The extra money spent on bringing back the cast was well-spent and I was happy to pay the extra few dollars, as without them, this is probably a $7 DLC, that feels hollow and empty and doesn't quite fit with the rest of the game.

Overall, this is the best DA DLC period. Though, the bar wasn't terribly high to begin with. Looking forward to more of this quality level.

I just finished my second play thru of Legacy. I feel like the ending for helping either Wardens is a cliffhanger....it was in ur dialogue and what they said...for example when Janeka said...she is a completely different person , turns around and start walking..i swear she was smirking ...maybe its my imagination..lol ...Anyway, this was good DLC...and I throughly enjoyed it! Kudo Dragon Age team!

I think the PS3 version is broken....Get to the end with Corenphyus.....Hit the statues the first round, the monsters pop...kill em....everything goes fine....second round...same things....but the last round...I hit the statues, and nothing happens...No mobs....no hotspots....no POIs....Nothing. Hawke just keeps screaming; "The statues, that's the source of his power!!!" and all I can do at that point is run around like chicken with my head cut off till I die lol.

This has occured 3 times in a row now.

My next run is helping the Wardens, although I doubt it will have any real effect on the save file.

I just finished my first play through of the DLC. I was not a fan, at all, of Dragon Age 2 but I liked this DLC. The environments vary, there's a few cool lore bits and the fights are much better. I was a little upset that there is no real choice for the outcome of the DLC, but unlike the main game I'm not at all sorry I paid for it. If $10 isn't going to break your piggy bank, I'd say get it.

I loved this DLC, the character interactions, the new environments, party banter, so on. The last boss fight was pretty amazing though, I can't wait to go through it again on harder difficulties, not sure I'd try it on nightmare though >_>

I hope we get more content like this.

Bravo!  (Claps fanatically and whistles) Absolutely wonderful story.  I took Bethany warden along and the dialog was just perfect.  I love the hint of, "Uh oh...did I make the right choice?" in the end.  The combat was well done.  After a few dying bouts, I ended up putting the final battle on casual and still was challenged by the boss fight in a very good way.  Now I want to do this with Anders, and also with my mage play through.  Just wow.  Please make more DLC like this.  it was certainly worth the wait.

I was not a fan of Da2 but this is a good DLC. Mind you it doesn't "solve" the main issues of DA2 that many pointed out but frankly, hoping a DLC can fix a game is naive and just whishful thinking.
It was challenging and the lore was interesting, making you want to know more as you progress.
I started it at the beginning of Act 3 and now the perspective of finishing the game seems rather dull compared to Legacy.
The pace reminded me of Origins which is a good thing. Of course nothing can beat the Urn of the Sacred Ashes quest for DA games in my eyes but I think it's a move in the right direction for a future expansion/DLCs.
I would advise to play it after the end (or close to the end) if you are bringing your sibling with you, make more sense imho.

Taking a dinner break after breaking the third seal.... so far I like it. My only two criticisms so far are: One, the way it begins. Activating a statue that takes you to the place and then all of a sudden the carta have attacked you but we never saw it. I think there should have been a carta encounter in Kirkwall and you go out into the desert to find out why or something like that. Second, Anders asked Hawke about hearing from Carver after the events of All That Remains and Hawke said she.he hadn't heard from her brother, but there Carver was right in my party, seemed odd.

I do very much like the customization of the key. Along with Grey Warden Carver I also brought Varric and Anders and was pleased with the contribution they had. Finding out about Bianca and Varric's ancestors made me happy.

First run through:
Duh Spoilers Ahead

I was playing as Val Hawke. She is an a sarcastic and kind of...evil blood mage. When hearing that Malcolm bound the demons with his blood she does the "Father was a blood mage?!" She is a blood mage. She should have been more jokingly like "I guess I took after him more than I thought" or something to that effect instead of still acting surprised by blood magic. Recognize the specializations for crying out loud.

The Corypheus fight was intense partially because Val was not a healer and my party consisted of Aveline, Izzy, and Carver. Needless to say the lack of a healer made me have to reload quite a bit. It was nice adding an enemy using ice finally since ice resistance was completely useless in the main game since enemies did not use it.

I have to finish my Grey Warden playthroughs I don't really use Anders ever and he is required to get a Grey Warden sibling but the dialogue was nice. The final "choice" was rather stupid though since you find the codex saying Corypheus controls tainted mages meaning you know for a fact Janeka is indoctrinated (hehe Mass Effect) and while I chose her path anyway, it was a fate pre ordained that she was going to fail which kind of ruined the suspense.

Also...we get a chance to talk to one of the first Darkspawn who confirms the Chantry's story of the Darkspawn origin and instead of humbling yourself enough to get information from him you have to be defiant and attack. I wanted more information from Corypheus darn it.

The environments were very well done. Quite pretty indeed. The interaction with Carver was nice though I kind of wish I could have said something to my love interest, Isabela, especially since the interactions were lacking in the main game. Perhaps she could have asked about how I felt about all the revelations whatnot at the end after Carver left. Ah well.

I played on Hard because the problems I complained about in the feedback thread have not (probably can't be) fixed yet and the difficulty was adequate. Hard enough to give a challenge but the Hurlock Alphas were quite disappointingly weak. They didn't even have that commader boost allies aura thing which I thought they would have. There was also less emissaries there than I thought would be there considering Corypheus could ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL of tainted mages.

I have to bring Anders and Varric next. Will be working on more playthroughs.

Just finished it, i got a good 2 hours + out of it. Played it from 3rd act. I like that the DLC recognizes ur love interest and provides banter specific to it. Maybe it depends on who it is, not sure, but it recognized mine. IMO there was TONS of history and lore. Thoroughly enjoyed the final battle. I think its definitely worth 10 bucks. Took, anders, varric and carver(grey warden) with me.

Please fix the last boss for the console version (PS3). on the second part when the green rocks appear my teammates lag behind as im navigating around the rocks and running from the fire, so they get caught in it and die. i cant beat it. i dont want to have to issue every movement as a command for every party member. thats not "tactical" its just purely anoying.

You're faring better than I...Ive literally found a bug that makes the last boss immortal in one of two ways:

1.) The most common Ive encountered so far;  During the 4th round of combat and doing the statues, you touch the statues but nothing happens.  No monsters, no POIs, nothing.  And you're literally stuck at that point just running around until you die.

2.) You happen to bypass #1 somehow and he goes strait into being outright immortal when his hp gets to 0.

Ive reloaded multiple saves and none of them have fixed this problem and have fought the bastardo at least 8 times now 7 of those 8 fights, #1 happened.  And on the other #2 occured.

well i have not had a chance to get that far into the fight, but im sure it will happen to me too.

It's a tiny, insignificant niggle, but I would've liked if the party banter could trigger more than twice. I mean, obviously your companions aren't mute the entire time besides that - which after ME2's dlc was wonderful beyond words, by the way - but I had the unfortunate circumstance whereby Merrill hardly ever pitched in with anything because her banters hadn't triggered towards the start.

And, well, banters are great. Hearing them without quick saving, trotting over the trigger point and quick loading a few times would be nice.

Did I mention it's a tiny niggle? Tiny like ants. Everything else about it was very, very impressive.

Pros:
*Great story and dialogue. We needed more of that in the main game. I still have some issues with companion interaction, but I've addressed that in the Constructive Criticism thread.
*Good lore additions.
*No re-used maps and very little wave combat.
*The ending with Leandra was sweet and strangely moving. The main game should have ended with something along those lines.

Cons:
*More ridiculous darkspawn (IMO, you need an Origins type art style all round).
*Hawke's idiocy was augmented. Does Varric hate him? How could he not see that Larius was possessed?!

That's it. Definitely the best DA DLC so far, seconded by maybe Warden's Keep or RtO. Keep it up Bioware! It hasn't redeemed the game, but it's certainly a step in the right direction.

The only bug I hit in my run-through was a totally silent Merrill. Despite being Hawke's LI, she never uttered a peep, not even the usual combat chatter. Still, having finished it now I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed the DLC. I was especially fond of the visuals, the added lore, and the new enemy mechanics (lack of waves). The puzzles were fun and I liked the standalone potion loot (minor point, but still).

The only criticism I've seen that I really agree with is the lack of set-up in the game proper. An ambush or two to set things up, then maybe finding the statue crated up somewhere and having it shipped back to the house might have been a bit more immersive.

All in all though, I consider it money well spent and I would happily continuing buying DLC at this price if the content level stayed constant. Well done, DA team, my hat's off to you.

Loved it. Brilliant. When's the next one? Soon? I hope it's soon.

Specifically:
Party members seemed more active than they were in the main game, more dialogue interjections and exploration banter and such, which is always nice.
Family connection to the story was good, especially the dialogue with siblings (only played it with circle-mage Bethany so far, but it was perfect, makes up for her being gone for most of the game).
Lore. With all the DA2 codex entries that came straight from DAO I almost stopped reading them, great to see some interesting stuff in there again (especially the explanation as to why Kirkwall's full of maniacs, I could almost see "Happy now, forum?!" scribbled out on the bottom of the page).
Combat. Good god, I can't tell you how much I missed thinking in combat - AOE-rinse-repeat was losing it's appeal - having to split up the party to handle multiple elements of a fight was very nice indeed. And the Corypheus fight was great, consistently engaging, didn't drag on too long, climactic. Didn't seem like the hardest fight in the addon though, which was odd, and the way panacea was working overtime makes me think the difficulty would increase dramatically if I didn't have a spirit healer. Not sure if that's an imbalance or if it's just common sense to bring a spirit healer, but it sucks for anyone relying on creation healing and pots.

Only gripe:
The 2h Key sword was ugly as sin and looked really unwieldy, it'll take more than that to prize the Celebrant away from me, especially since I sank that primeval lyrium rune into it.

Anyway, I hope it wasn't too much trouble to make, because it's the benchmark for any more addons to come.

This DLC was excellent. My only qualm is that I had no idea how to get past the barriers to get the armor set's Helm. But that's my own failings. Anders, Varric, and Bethany in the party made for some really memorable dialogue, but It was rather sporadic compared to what I've heard. Maybe a bug? It was definitely worth $10 though. Another quality DLC.
