This doesn't look too promising, but I hope they'll consider a patch for Legacy - I, for one, have put DA aside until they do.  It's just too annoying to play with pieces missing.  Watching it on YouTube is a complete 'no thanks.'

It's not right. Witch Hunt got a new version out fast. A week maybe? Well I guess it can't be done for whatever reason. Which means I'm finished here too. No more dlc or anything for me. I am sad panda.

Witch Hunt got a new version because it was clearly unplayable. Legacy is not unplayable. From what I've seen (read actually) there's an item missing, some dialogue options missing (Fenris romance banter and dialogue options especially) and some minor glitches as well. I've seen one instance where the final boss wouldn't move at all; solution was a reinstall of Legacy. Then I've seen and read some more instances where the final boss had about 0 HP, and the end movie (the final blow) didn't roll .e.g. the finishing attack didn't appear. Witch Hunt, I remember well this discussion. The first version was broken as it did not recognize anything and the end game didn't work either.....So, Bioware made a new version 1.01 in a week or two....

It was also the last dlc for DA:O while Legacy is the first DLC for DA2. This means something in terms of save games. Since Legacy can be played at any point in DA2, I guess (my qualified guess that is) is that the choices etc. from Legacy is baked into the save games when you go forward in Legacy. Nevertheless, I can uderstand it is annoying that you can't get the romance dialogue if you're in a romance, but it doesn't break the game as say a bug that won't let you get from level to the next or the glitch in which you can't beat the last boss because the game does not recognize you had him down to about 0 hp.

Still, if you're in a romancwith someone, it is always nice to see this recognized, of course.

Unplayable? Then DA2 is unplayable! Flags are still broken. WH the flag was broken. People who did the DR or romance + DR  did not get that reflected in the game. They could play it just fine and did otherwise. (PC versions) I don't know about any other console problems both players were upset about the broken flag.

Legacy is not the first dlc. The first one was Item pack one and people are still waiting in the high rez pack for that...what has it been 6 months? I'm not trying to be unreasonable honest. I don't demand a patch now or a date when just would like a yes/no if it will be patched at all. But I am giving up. No biggie.

Here is a link stating what was wrong with WH. It was a flag on the DR. Nothing more.

i cant finish Legacy at all since it always crashes in the same loading screen, right after i kill the dorf with bronto and obtain Hawkes Key that transforms into a sword, then i loot the place and try to "venture forth". After that the loading screen appears for few seconds and then crash to desktop. tried dx9 and all graphics low but it makes no difference, very frustrating problem ((((

using:
win 7 64bit
amd 6950hd
catalyst 11.7

Edit: I was now able to finish Legacy after installing catalyst 11.8 preview drivers, took me all night (few bsods and crashes with artifacts) to make the drivers work but everything works fine now.

Hello, I rather stupidly bought and downloaded Legacy with a different email address to the one the game was registered with. Is that it then? have i wasted £6?

EA support just cut me off and ignore me, i have been in a livechat session with them 3 times in the last 2 days and they obviously couldn't care less.
Basically their response has been that it can't be transferred and there is nothing they can do.

I'm sorry to bother you all if the problem I'm about to whine about has already been discussed, but, well, it is a technical problem and more than pesky at that. 
You see, I'm one of the unfortunate lot of those who purchased a Steam version. It's even more embarasing that yesterday I bought Legacy, being fully aware of possible complications.
and, predictable as it is, the DLC's not working.

In light of the recent feud between EA and Valve and the role of Legacy in its development, I thought my predicament has something to do with it, and yet people keep telling me that it is in fact possible to have Legacy on a Steam version. 

Now, the launcher keeps telling me that in a goodbye display of grace Steam did patch my version to 1.03. Given that Legacy "REQUIRES LATEST PATCH" (sic) and 1.03 is the latest patch, or so I'm lead to believe, I'm at a loss here. What do I do now?

Edit: It also says that Legacy's unauthorised

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Glad EA sorted that for you. Did you make sure you clicked the pc version to DL? I almost did the mac version by accident it was late when I downloaded it.

Try rebooting your computer then installing? It seems the steam/origin/retail versions don't play nice with each other. If all else fails EA to the rescue.

Just seems like a waste the dialogue will most likely not be patched.
But your right, at least it is an answer. Not the answer I would of liked to hear but at least were not left in the dark anymore.

So I have patch 1.03 and I've now installed Legacy twice. It appears
under the Downloadable Content tab with an asterisk next to it and in
the description at the very top it says:

"Version Number: (Unauthorized) 1.0."

The Hawk statue that's supposed to be in game on the second floor of Hawk's mansion is not there

What's the problem and how do I fix it?

I don't have any DA2 mods installed and all of my other DLC content works.

Make sure you're logged in to the same account that you purchased the DLC under when you're in game.

This is not a fix for me since I only have one account.

I've also had the "Legacy requires Dragon Age 2 to be installed" message. I've tried re-downloading the install file, rebooting, and moving things around in the hard drives. The only thing I haven't done is is do a clean re-install of the entire Dragon Age 2. Also, I bought this on Origin as a digital copy, and it wouldn't let me pick the hard drive I wanted it downloaded to, so I simply moved the entire origin file from one drive to the other and deleted the original. All my other DLC worked, including the Prince Sebastian one.

Luke, any word on the LI dialogue in Legacy getting fixed? Especially Fenris who seems to have not imported any romance flags. I was wondering if this is also going to be a problem with the upcoming dlc as well?

I can download the file but can't install it. I've tried running it as an administrator. It freezes up my downloads folder and I have to reboot to close it.

look like the fenris/romance dialogue in legacy WILL NEVER be fixed.. since its not a critical issue for everyone. but it is for us who romanced him and would had like to hear from him in our playtrough we actually paid for this game.. and we cant even get thoose bug fixed..before releasing another dlc.. you should make sure the bug in your previous dlc have been .. ''repair'' yay carrying more bug and more bug
