One that details How Hawke's party split up and how Cassandra finds Hawke while linking into the upcoming story for DA3. Since it sounds like Legacy fixed what a lot of fans hated about DA2 (bugs, waves of enemies and reused environments) there should hopefully be a great DLC that's on par with Hordes of the Underdark and Awakenning in terms of quality. One where Hawke's LI is bound to his party and Hawke is forced to be in the party and Hawke can pick two others to go with him/her before Cassandra enters the scene at the very end and creates a plot hook for the next game.

I would be pretty concerned if the expansion was not in development since DA2 ended.

I'd rather they just skip straight to Dragon Age III. Dragon Age II and Hawke aren't really worth continuing as far as I'm concerned and I'd be more than content with a rocks fall and everybody dies type of wrap up for the whole thing. Of course, if there is enough demand I'm sure they'll milk it for all its worth so vote with your wallet.

I would welcome an expansion, especially after playing Legacy.

I wouldn't hold my breath, but if we do get one I would hope it wont be as overpriced as Awakening.

Well, we know for a fact that they ARE working on another Dragon Age Project. David Gaider was wearing a T-shirt about it at SDCC. The theory is it's called Dragon Age 2: Exalted Marches.

Now, what this DLC will REALLY reveal, is the direction they are going for that project (assuming it's an expansion or sequel, at least). If they're avoiding waves in Legacy, for example, it is doubtful they'd go back to that in a new project.

Hear hear, don't let the expansion pack die I say. For starters it doesn't seem to me that devs have perfected a way of designing DLC that is aimed exclusively at end game content, and making it accessible throughout any given playthrough can be a handicap. I think the expansion model still suits a game like Dragon Age better than the DLC model anyway (although both are, of course, welcome).

Edit: @Above: Interesting. Should that prove to be true (the name) then it certainly sounds post end game-ish. Either an expansion (one can but hope) or BioWare are making it work as DLC.

I'd get an expansion provided it fixed the egregious annoyances in the Main Game as well as "expanding" the game.

Why is everyone praising Legacy? It was completely and utterly mediocre.

Compared to the majority of the DLC that came out for Origins, it was amazing.

I like the DLC, but when it comes to the toss up between more time and effort on DA3 or an Expansion. I'm going to have to go for DA3.

Agreed. Before I wasn't really bothered about an expansion but Legacy has intrigued me. They listened to feedback and criticism and I thought it was very well done - good items and complicated enemies (hate genlock alphas..).
An expansion which introduces Cassandra to Hawke would be nice, especially if Varric is with you :D Cassandra would be pretty peeved he knew where you were all this time.
Only thing is, the warden and Hawke both disappeared and it would probably ruin the mystery if Hawke hadn't actually vanished.
I'm hoping they're through the eluvian or something looking through the similarities between the both stories - Morrigan had one and so did Merrill.
But yes, expansion please!

What were you expecting?

The people buying Legacy are on the whole the people who liked DA2, or at least aspects of it, the people who thought the game pretty much sucked wont be buying it for the most part I would imagine, on this forum the views on legacy are bound to be skewed in favour of the positive.

I watched (well skipped through) some of it on youtube, just looked like more of the same to me, minus the waves.

So you bought it? I haven't played it yet but it sounds like it has addressed what major complaints they can address in a dlc.

As for an expansions they said before DA2 was released that they wouldn't be doing an expansion. Plans change of course but given the reception of DA2 I doubt they will do one.

I'd like an expansion I think. We'll see how well people receive Legacy but I enjoyed it. Probably for the lore if anything.

Oh- a real expansion would be nice, especially after finishing Legacy... it drew me back in. Before Legacy I was less than enthusiastic about anything concerning DA2 (obvious reasons as my complaints are the same as everyone else relatively). I enjoyed Legacy and after playing it became intrigued by the lore and end bits... now I'm more or less curious and hope to have an expansion which will go more into depth- either way I'd be happy, though preferably go more in-depth with Legacy's plot/theme/concept.

An expansion would only be worth it if it retroactively patched away some of the more jarring issues with the main game, like doing away with some waves and adding some more environment. Personally I'd still prefer they move on to DA3 and a new non-Hawke PC.

Clearly because they feel it deserves the praise. It's called having an opinion.

It's basically DA2: Awakening of Warden's Keep. If you liked those, you'll like the DLC. But if you go in expecting any sort of decisions you need to make that save to your file, you'll be out of luck.

But at the same time there's a big number of people on here who will hate on anything Bioware put out that isn't Origins-related anyway, so it all balances out.

I would rather they skip it and work on DA3. Seriously, didn't get two years of DLC for DAO, and instead got DA2 the expansion. Please, focus on DA3.
