50,000 years ago would predate most, if not all species' written history. So "at the beginning of time" could be a metaphor, of sorts. Only the hanar have an oral tradition that tells of contact with the Enkindlers, which were believed to be Prothean.111987 wrote...
didn't they say the 'beings of light' were born at the beginning of time?
Oh, good point. That certainly does make sense. And I guess i would prefer the beings of light being someone we already know rather than a deus ex machina against the Reapers.

Out of curiosity, are you rewriting parts with the recent story leaks in mind?bboynexus wrote...
I am in the process of posting this up on a separate website and re-writing large chunks of it. Be on the lookout for the final section very soon!

I would have said the BSN but they're anarchists compared to Steam it seems.

Define this "terrible writing"... I have read the leaked script and it seems on par with ME2 at least.

ME2 has a lot of terrible writing (but a lot of good writing too). ME3 however takes it to a new level with the bad. It by far outweighs the good (and there IS some good).

I don't want any of the 'Story Leak'
dogma cluttering this thread, if that's OK. I've heard people's general
reactions to it, and I'm fully aware how bad it can get.
Alright, alright. Out of respect I won't say anymore.
In any case I will be curious to see what you think of ME3 when it's relased.

It's a matter of personal preference and expectations. I have loved almost everything I've seen from the leaks so far. My suggestion is to just ignore people's complaints/praise for now and judge the game on your own terms when it's released.bboynexus wrote...

"The Collectors were simply getting a head-start in preparation for the culling of Earth during the Reaper invasion."
I've been arguing against this silliness in PMs recently. What the hell do they need a head start for? This "head start" gets the attention of humans (Cerberus) who then go and destroy the collector base. This should not have been a particularly big surprise to the reapers. What were they thinking? What did they even stand to gain by starting the human reaper early?
It's just a broken plot, plain and simple.
