Ishmael, I mean the algorithms that dictate what the individual modifiers for those items will be at a given player level. Eg. The formula I came up with for eye of blue describes what the fire damage increase will be at any given level.

Of course, these algorithms will be a function of of your player level.

Those are formulae, not algorithms :P

And... they could be reverse-engineered via experimentation. It's a function of item level, power level, the property's power constant, and properties scale differently as well, which is another variable. What the exact function is is unknown to me. But power level seems to be a straight multiplier, i.e. 2 gives you twice the value of 1.

Basically, that's what I've been trying to say, but  you said it better than I could.

Can anyone confirm that the Robe of the Silent One uses the exact same model as the Warden Scout's Tunic pictured earlier in this thread? I was expecting a set of Warden mage robes identical to Janeka's, but instead I received what looks like a set of medium rogue armor.

Y'know, I find it looking more like Robes then Rogue armor though, I personally don't want it changed (atleast not for male) , as it looks Wicked combined with The Apostates maskB)

I will concede that there is an ambiguous, all-purpose-medium-armor look to the model that doesn't make it too much of a stretch to put it on a  mage.  In fact, it looks as if the model is the standard DAII Warden mage robe with a very small chestplate added to the front and some splint mail or banded mail added over the hips.  Perhaps I could get used to it, but I think I'll stick with the Robes of the Champion.  As for the mask, I play as the default female Hawke, and I couldn't possibly cover up that face.

Oh god... I don't know anything about any of those hidden levels and constants. I was plotting all the data points and coming up with a formula to describe the line perfectly, using only the visible variable available to the player (his level). I might just give up then.

Atleast you can see it whenver you open up  the Inventory screen though ;)

I feel... betrayed... ;)

To get maxed level items from DLC you need lvl 25 I assume. I'm pretty far in act 3, I did all the quests in act 1 and 2 and all quests in act 3 except main plot (I'm half way through "Best served cold" quest which leads to ending I guess) and I'm still fresh lvl 23... I will be lucky I guess, if I will get into DLC before the end, if at all. And if I will wear DLC stuff for more than 5 mins of playtime.

And at that time I would rather become the viscount than solve some past DLC stuff. Proper time for this DLC would in act 2 (act 1 + Deep Roads, act 2 + DLC) and not in end of act 3 (in other words enforced start in act 2 and no free choice - but start anytime but 25 and you will get crap...). I don't care you wanted to let people play it with "finished characters". I made 2 new characters just for this and what a waste... I should have just taken one of the ended chars.

Plus out of curiosity I started the DLC once in Act 1 with another new character... And I clicked on some statue and I was teleported somewhere... I mean, would it be too hard to let the story properly and fluently start in Kirkwall?

At this point I'm very much tempted to ignore the DLC at all. Main story is finishing and... well... Instead of the final battle, I will teleport myself to some new map outside city to do what exactly? Huh...

I'm tired, need to sleep out of this mood. Sorry for my rambling.

If you're playing DLC for loot, you're doing it wrong.

I play DLC for everything.

The story was decent. Items were junk. Went in on lvl 23, all armor and weapons were weaker than what I already had... That's about the unique weapon you can forge *sighs*.

Overall. It was okayish but could be better. Story somehow thumb up, loot just bad. New darkspawn were weird, for some reason it reminded me of Diablo. :P

Would some kindhearted Player like to respec their 2H Warrior with a Maker's Sigh potion, and apply it to discovering and listing the specs of the 1H weapon? Thanks!

And there are no shields?

I can't believe no one's gone in with a SnS yet lol. No, there are no shields in the DLC.

DLC-items with weak bonuses (low-level) still have weak bonuses when player will have higher level?

Lol, yeah. S&S really is the most unpopular choice in DA2.

No, items do not lvl up with the player.

Are the stats for Hawke's Key Rogue Dagger correct for the supposed cap at level 25? Because I got mine at level 27, and the stats are 54 Physical Damage and +2 Cunning, not +4.

Carver's got a unique 2h sword in the game files. It doesn't actually drop instead of Bloodline/Hawke's Belt if he's in your party but I bet it's supposed to.

I'll run a S&B through tomorrow for the 1h stats if nobody else gets to it first - interestingly enough, there's a unique shield in the game files too, and I'm curious to see if it's also inaccessible or if a S&B can get her hands on it somehow.

Thnx for the info. I hope this gets fixed, along with mage armor that looks like rogue one.

The Hawke's Key actually has no cap, as stated in the OP. The +4 cunning could have been an error. I changed it.

Don't suppose anyone knows if the Warden rogue armour and mage robes are supposed to look the same, or whether that's a bug?
I don't mind the rogue armour on my mage, but I really like the swishy tails and lovely collar that the mage robes have. I notice the warrior set has swishy tails, but I have only one warrior, and she's post-game.

Swishy tails, I really like them. Image IPB

They are. Luke Barrett said so on tech help forums:

Third, a few people have mentioned that the Rogue/Mage armor uses the same art asset. This was intentional. Now, I'm sure the obvious 'why?!' question will jump in to your heads but I can't go in to those details so unfortunately you'll just have to accept it for what it is.

That's a shame. Oh well, I guess can play a warrior for swishy tails.

Thanks for this. It looks like it follows a similar upgrade path to The Edge of Night. That would make the damage 44 by level 28. I'll include these in the OP.

No problem! :)

But you wrote +3 strength in your post instead of +3 constitution that's on the sword =]
