Cool, thanks for the answers :)

just 1 more question, who would you say are the best companions to bring along? From what people are saying, it's your sibling if poss and your romanced char, who is the third recommended companion?

Varric and Anders both have some cool stuff that is related to them. Of course if Anders happens to be your LI, better for you :wizard:

I have a couple of questions:

In what act of DA2 is it better (storywise) to play this DLC?
Do other NPCs (except the companions and Legacy specific NPCs) mention Legacy events?

It worked very well as end game, but I think I'll play it early Act 3 in my "canon" - perhaps after meeting the warden sibling in the deep roads. Possibly late Act 2.

It's always been that way. Basically, Boware is telling you that Canon!Hawke has a Carver who goes Grey Warden, or a Bethany that goes in the Circle/dies.

I have downloaded alot of things on my xbox for many games, and this is one of the few things I have enjoyed to the fullest.
I only wish you could replay it on the same character later in the game(Like once in act 1 again in act 2 and so on to get all the different "stories").
At times I really wish I bought this for the PC so I could mod my game =P

You do. You have to do a puzzle to get it, but apparently the puzzle and location are different depending on who you side with near the end. Hard to say without spoilers, but for me it involved a puzzle in a room which you have to turn pillars to channel beams of light to open the way forward. After this, I had to hit 4 (i think) switches on walls in various parts and then backtrack to the room and connect up 4 different beams to points on the wall. This opened the way to the helm (which was i another part of teh floor, behind various 'doors' the same colour as the beams).

Two questions about Legacy?

1) Are the villains smarter? Do they fight less in waves?

-and-

2) Are there fewer ninjas from the sky?

Is Merrill supposed to not say anything if you romanced her or is it some sort of bug? Should I wait to go through with all my many Merrillmance Hawkes?

Smarter? No.  Although they seem to target character randomly in the middle of a fight which wrecks havock on mages and rogues.

There are still some waves but they make sense and they come from nearby areas after being alerted by battle.

No more ninjas.  BioWare listened.

Now I have a question: Yes or No to avoid spoilers (or warn me of spoiler).  Is there content added in the Legacy DLC in kirckwall.  For example, could I go to the Black Emporium and find new items there.

I seemed to notice some of the potions are less expensive now.  Don't know when that happened (patch/legacy).  Or maybe my memory is playing tricks on me.

Puddles the Turtle made me laugh but nowhere near as much as Wanka the Bronto - who came up with that one? :D

Also these stale biscuits - chocolate burbons, custard creams or rich tea?

I have a somewhat strange question, maybe: what sort of colors are they; are they red, blue, green or some other colors? The reason, I ask is because I'm colorblind, so I'll need to know if I need to follow a walkthrough for this puzzle.

There are 4 colors so for the light puzzle you could probably just use the fact that their are 4 levels of light and fix them appropriately without a guide. For the barrier door one, you might just want to use a guide because you will probably get lost and frustrated trying to figure out which color is which.

 Hi,
s there any way to make Legacy work if I have EA review distribution of the game? Legacy acquired for 800 points, installed without problems but patching DA II with 1.03 patch is not possible. So Legacy is shown as installed and verified DLC but statue-memento is not present in the game. [I suppose problem is DA II  is still 1.00 version]

Apologies if this has been answered before but I'm avoiding reading too much about Legacy for fear of spoilers.
I was wondering if there was an optimum time, storywise to play Legacy, I know it can be accessed at any point as could, for example, LOTSB and Arrival but it made more sense plotwise to play them after the suicide mission?
Thanks

I think it's best to play it in late act 2 or at the start of act 3 ;)

@radek It has to be patched to 1.03. Review copy's not even the same as the base release (I don't think). If you're reviewing it, contact PR? (There might be a case for not wanting to buy the base game at a high price just to review a $12 DLC.) Otherwise, buy it.

@mousestalker I was actually surprised by how much "smarter" the enemies are. They have varying melee attacks, they have abilities like "rain of arrows", they run over to levers to trigger traps. And, you can use them to damage each other. (Thankfully.) The Genlock Alpha is quite good at knocking ogres on their bums.

Edit: Also, I never noticed Carver was in Grey Warden armour at the beginning, there. I wonder if that's supposed to be a hint about how things might work later on in DAII. (I read how to - do that - on the forum. Not because I figured it out for myself.) Is this a spoiler? Sorry.

How come the Warden rogue armour and mage robes are the same, when warriors get a design to themselves?

Noticed that too - figured it was a bug?
