I'm going with that being a bug. I rather like the rogue armour on my mage though. As for Carver, yeah he's always been wearing that armour during the exaggerated portion. Always thought it was a little odd, since that is the outcome that requires the most things to go a specific way.
I suppose it would have been more spoiler-y for him to have the Templar armour, and maybe his ordinary outfit wasn't "epic/badass/legendary/*insert word*" enough for the exaggerated portion. Whereas Varric was supposed to exaggerate Bethany's boobs in that portion, right? So I suppose her Warden/Circle robes wouldn't have done that as effectively. Whereas Varric didn't exaggerate anything about Carver physically... thankfully.
I guess the mage robes must be bugged then, otherwise I imagine they'd give a warrior the same armour too, but they clearly get a model in a mix Larius' and Carver's armour design (I think), while Hawke's mage/rogue outfit looks like that of Jendara's rogue companion. I don't mind wearing the rogue armour, though I'd prefer the mage one. And at least it's not a major bug that prevents you from enjoying the DLC.

For the Warden run - The puzzles are lined up on levels, top level is green, next down is red, then blue, then orange (unsolved) or white (solved). To get the helm you only need to worry about getting the blue and red levels lined up correctly (they go white once solved). The items that trigger the puzzle aren't coloured until you activate them so you won't need to worry about anything beyond finding them.aries1001 wrote...
I have a somewhat strange question, maybe: what sort of colors are they; are they red, blue, green or some other colors? The reason, I ask is because I'm colorblind, so I'll need to know if I need to follow a walkthrough for this puzzle.

Is Legacy available as a quest across all three acts if you get it right at the beginning? I know a lot of quests will disappear if you don't complete them by the end of the act they appear in. I'm currently in act 2 and Legacy is available, but I would like to wait until act 3 to play Legacy with this Hawke.
The "Momento to Legacy" won't dispaear it will just switch to your new houses after Act 1, and it is in the same place Act 2 & 3. So you should be safe to wait till act 3 to play. I recommend it actually, All my legacy playthroughs have been on Act 3 and what I found was It will be easier since you will have better armor, and if you romanced anyone they will be mentioned in the 3rd act, which is why I always playthrough the DLC during Act 3.

I downloaded legacy and then started a new DA2 playthrough, does anyone know at what point in the game it would be best to play the legacy quest? Thanks.
In my opinion Act 3 would be the best act to play legacy, as it will be alot easier with better gear, and if you romanced anyone you will hear banter that will acknowledge the romance.
Act one first time through legacy will be difficult as some of the encounters are tough, and the DLC is alot easier at a higher lvl with better gear.
In addition I would not start Legacy during Act 2 on my first playthrough as you will miss banter that acknowledges your romance
Anyways, I would go through each act with legacy just to see how each Act plays out and make your own preference, bur for me I have played Legacy 4 times during Act 3 and I definetly recommend playing through during Act 3 first.

Thank you!
And I agree! I actually played it in act 3 with another Hawke I have (post-game save) and it seemed much easier - though possibly part of that was because I knew what was coming having played it before (though not completely, as there were some things I had missed). But having more abilities, better gear etc made it a lot easier as well.

No problem!
I found it easier the second time around as well. My first time through with my main character (my avatar) took 6 hours and I still missed the extra boss. When I replayed legacy on that character I found the last boss fight went really smoothly for me and it only took me one try to beat the boss, considering the first time it took me 2 hours to beat the last boss on normal.
But yes having more abilites and better gear makes playing Legacy on Act 3 easier and alot more fun in my opinion. My favourite was hearing comments about my love interest. Now if they only fixed the romance banter for Fenris I would be really happy!

Are there a lot of new spells and abilities in Legacy, or are we stuck with the same stuff in DA2 ? Also how long is it?
Firstly, there are no new spells or abilities in Legacy.
And to answer your second question, It depends on your own speed, my first playthrough took 5-6 hours going through the dlc very slowly with breaks inbetween. But on average most people take about 3 hours to complete Legacy.

One question, though - if you want to actually see your sibling (Carver or Bethany) during this dlc, do you need to leave a spot her i.e. do one of the three companions spots need tpo be empty - because Bethany isn't showing up in my playthrough at all. I mean, I can hear her, but not see her... - after the initial conversation that is...

As far as I'm aware, the only requirement is for them to not be dead. They should show up for the opening conversation even if you didn't pick them for your current party. Sounds like a bug to me. Are you running mods at all?

Well, if his Bethany is dead and he can't see her, yet, he can hear her. I would definitely say it's a 'ghost bug'.

I have a mod that removes the armour restrictions for companions as well as a mod that cools down the col down tone for spells and potions etc.

Is Legacy any good? I only ask because I played through DA2 to the end, but disliked it greatly for most of the normally outlined reasons and have yet to go back to play it again. However, I adore DA:O and have logged and have conitnued to log more hours than I care to admit playing it, lol. I have gone through and read a number of pages in the feedback forum, but after seeing the feedback on DA2 and playing said game, I'm a little wary of making an $8 purchase that may just annoy me. Does it really fix enough to make it worth it? Thanks!

And it was (is) also nice to see the new areas, the open vistas in front of the prison, there are viewpoints, which has a nice view - and then some - the levels in the prisons are well layed out, well designed and interesting as well. You'll find new gear, and after a somewhat tough fight, you'll find a key (which is actually a very cool weapon). Remember to pick up everything and read everything as this might lead you to a new quest...
The story is seen in many Bioware's games, yet the way it is told is completely new. I just wonder what Hawke's blood has to do with anything, well, maybe when I'm finished, 'll know. LIke many have said, it feels like an updates version of Durlag's Tower (in BG1) and Watcher's Keep (BG2).
I like it a lot, we'll worth the price
Edit:
It still has the voiced main character, the dialogue wheel - but I thought I saw some sort of tactical camera overview last night when I played it. If you pull your mouse back, you'll get a nice overview of the combat.

Any answer on the many romance dialogue questions asked? I brought my Merrillmance into Legacy in a post-game save and didn't get anything. She said maybe a dozen words the whole trip. =/
Yeah it's bugged on Xbox anyway. Same thing happed with my Merril LI run through as well :/
But Isabella works and I hear Anders works as well.
I read up the reposnses to this thread and someone asked who the best characters are to bring. Although all of them have great banter from what I've seen, if you want the most cut scenes, bring your sibling, Anders & Varric.
Also also, read about the rogue and mage armor looking the same and might be a bug. A dev confirmed in another thread that it's not a bug. They look the same.

Agreed. My favorite Legacy playthrough so far was with (sibling), Anders, and Varric.

I've brought Aveline, Varric and Bethany (or Carver if he's your sibling - in the game, of course). Maybe if Carver had been around, I'd have brought Anders.
edit:
spelling and grammar
