DA:O isn't oldschool. it's way to new for that. .

Heh, in the ADD world of video games 21 months qualifies as 'ancient history.'

Pretty much. When the second sequel is coming out...and they update the game to the degree at which they have.. its old school imo. even tho DA2 was awful imo.

Nope. In fact, i just finished my final canon. Plus, I got a few experimental playthroughs to try.

Still working on mine as a Dalish Rogue.

Little upset cause my Dalish Apostate who worships Fen'harel from the tabletop rpg keeps forcing his personality and choices onto my game.

Wonder where that would put me then, I'm playing Baldur's gate. And DA:O, of course.

As long as I have my toolset, I will play my DA:O. :)

I've just started my first play through and it's dull. I've just played DA2 4 times back to back it was that much fun but DAO is killing me it's so slow. 30-60 seconds to get in to and out of a shop scene, makes you want to smash things. Not even sure I can finish this game once let alogo through this again.

Still trying to get the bloody blight queller achievement on xbox 360.
I sold my DA:O and got the ultimate edition and I don't know if I'm correct, but all the patches are already on that right? I don't wanna kerfuffle about and uninstall stuff..
So I play DA:O regularly in the hope of unlocking this final achievement..
But yes, I still love the game, so very, very much.. <3
Except the fade and the blasted deep roads, but you're not really supposed to love them bits are you, that's the whole point :pinched:
I have to keep deleting characters though and like naming them after myself so the saves get confuzzled..
Human noble is by faaaar the best origin, then city elf, then dwarf noble :innocent:

yeah i am still going, i have done 3 playthroughs and decided to start one for each origin and each sex so i have a bunch i am currently running. just pick which one im in the mood for each time. i have got to say that while i have never been a fan of playing mages in RPG before that my arcane warrior is alot of fun lol.

oh and i still dont consider this old school as i have games years older than this that i still play :)

I have beaten the game six times. 3 mages, 2 warriors, and 1 rogue, and I am thinking about beginning a 7th game. To answer your question, no I'm not currently playing it (too busy with another ME1 run right now). I'm the sort of person who always plays any halfway decent game as many times as possible.

In contrast, I beat DA2 once with a warrior and really wanted to like the game. Got one mage to the end of Act 2 and a rogue halfway through Act 1. No matter how much I try, I can't make myself finish that crappy, rushed, incomplete piece of refuse again. /rant

Currently on my 5th of 6 playthroughs. I'm intending to complete the game once on each Origin. :)

Still playing--sometimes daily, sometimes weekly, depending on RL. I've lost count of my playthroughs... Something like 9, but not all of them were from the beginning, and some origins have yet to be completed. And I play good quest mods whenever they come out. Still love it, still love the characters--I appreciate them more than ever, now

No, the last time I played was in January (though I played it pretty much daily for 10 months). I don't intend to play it again anytime soon but I will eventually. I still love the game of course (still my favorite tied with ME2), but I ain't playing just one game forever.

No, I can't get past Lothering anymore.  Perhaps if I wait a few years I can play it again...idunno.

I'm just a teeny bit better. I get stuck at the 1st campsite.

I have over 20 wardens but I just don't have the time to play it everyday anymore. I used to from when it was released til about february this year. I intend to go back and play it some more but there are more important things in life than video games :P

Too many other (equally) cool games out there to play it daily. However, I've played it yesterday and I will today. DA2 is certainly not a bad game, but each time I play DA:O it reminds me that it is superior to its successor.

Have played DA2 far more than DAO, even though I think Origins is a better game. DA2 is just so playable and I AM still playing it in spits and spats, yes. Not gone back to Origins in a while now..and still got sh!t loads of achievements to unlock on it!

Still playing, though I picked up some new games recently. Have some Wardens to run through the expansion and DLC and planning on making a few more to have as many different choices as possible.

Still playing it with a few playthrough of DA2 when it came out, but happily returned to DA:O and several playthrough ideas sleeping still :-)

Just gave my fifth playthrough a little rest for playing KOTOR for the very first time (talk of oldschool!)...

Given that, according to developers, DA3 will be basically DA2 part 2 ("we did a U-turn with DA2 and we are not going to do another one back with DA3...") I'm still waiting for a proper sequel to DA:O...
